I have caller ID and the # 888-575-9138 has come up 38 times in the last 22 days. I have saved most of them. What can I do to stop them,I know they have a long list of numbers they can use, The calls start at 1 minute after 8:00am until 8:55pm. I have answered some calls and there is no person on line or they hang up...I have put my number on Do not call list to no avail.HELP

These people keep on calling me, won't tell me who they are or what they want until I verify my birthdate with them - I've just been caught in a huge fraud scam involving the police and RCMP and I now refuse to give anyone any private information over the phone, so they get really annoyed with me and I end up in a screaming match with them and ultimately end up hanging up on them - is their any way to stop these harassing, annoying calls?

Hi, I am getting about 6 calls per day from this number.  I am very unhappy and need this to stop.  when I answer the phone they hang up.  They also never leave a message.

Relentless, inconsiderate, do not understand english! Annoying, call rediculous times and amounts in a day, call on weekends, hang up when answered, harrassing, rude, unprofessional.

Thank the Gods for call blocking.  I have now blocked this number as a useless waste of my time.  Everything is fixed.

The fact is that I have an agreement with Capital One to pay off my credit card debt and it is going down slowly.  The first few times they called, I repeated that there was an agreement.  The representative checked it out and admitted that there was an agreement, before asking me if I had any questions.  My "question" was to tell them to check the file before calling me.  Apparently, nobody ever does that.   The policy is to phone first and ask questions later.  So, now I just block them and continue to pay in accordance with the agreement, which I have now been doing for over 1.5 years.  It will be paid off in full in 3 months.  Nevertheless, I expect to continue to receive calls for the rest of my life.

Capital One, please train your people and get rid of the mindless prompter!

Thank god I don't owe you anymore and life has improved.  But in the end...ignorance is bliss.  Cowards hiding behind a telephone.
