Sweepstakes scam. ...I won 25k! All I had to do was call back.

I am on the fed  do not call list. How do the scammers get through?

You should read up on what the DNC list is, and what it is not.  It is NOT a call blocker.  Crooks don't care if there is a law in place - that's what crooks do - they break the law.  Get a call blocking device or service so you don't have to talk to as many crooks and scammers.

Call from Bill Bentley Notification Dept; won 25k: call back immeditately at 1-888-577-5982. Sounds like a scam to me.

Do a search on call blocking devices and phones.If its a cell phone, there are free call blocking apps out there including trac & straight talk.

Caller ID Log indicated the call was from 414-999-3241 said his name was Tyler and calling about an entry for 75K call back at 888-577-5982 immediately

sweepstakes you entered with in the last 10 months for 25K, call back immediately

I didn't call back, I'm sure its a scam.

$75k? Wow! My call mentioned only a $25k prize. You must have entered a better spam-sweepstakes than I did.

Got a call from this number I let it go to voicemail. Tyler from a notification center calling to let me know I won 25k from an entry I did 10 months ago and I need to call them ASAP. I called them back to see what they would say. Had to wait on the line for awhile. They just asked some general questions like they were doing a survey and I was entered in the final drawing. I would receive a certified letter if I actually win. Sounds like a scam to me.

I got a call from 800-705-8521 and let it go to voicemail.  Tyler from a notification center called to let me know that I won 25k from an entry I did 10 months ago and I need to call 888-577-5982 ASAP and congratulated me. I did not call back because I could not remember submitting any kind of entry using my cell no.

Isn't it funny the caller said he was calling from the notification department but didn't name the company?!  Definite scam tactic

Got the same message.  When I called back, I asked the name of the company.  They told me and said they needed to verify the information I submitted to the contest.  They asked "are you still married or living with someone."  At this point I knew they were fishing for personal info.  I said "sorry, but I never entered your contest," and hung up.

Got a call from Tyler from 800-705-8521 and told to call this number. Scam

Scam of course, 888-577-5982, 866-707-7979..  Got the same call today, lied about my spouses name, they provided me a detailed address to go to.  I did google the addressed provided and it was to some Beauty Salon.  I spoke with a Leaha Wells ext 112, why do people insist on making these calls.

Called telling me I won $25,000.  It's a scam.

Caller ID showed "private name, private number" but the message they left was the same as others. Tyler from notification department, sweepstakes I was supposed to have entered for $25K, blah, blah, blah.

Or just don't answer the phone

Uh, yeah.  But in addition to that, a call blocker is nice so that you don't even have to hear the phone ring when scammers call.
