I ordered a grant kit CD-ROM and paid $3.95 for shipping and handling. I never received the cd-rom, and now my bank account was charged $74.95.  I googled the phone number and found other complaints of the same issue. It is a huge scam!!!!

Called my bank and they gave me a phone number (1-866-960-0858) that was listed when payment was submitted to my account for deduction of $29.95 from my Debit/Visa card. I called the (866) number and spoke with a person at Grants/Newspin (third party service to Grant Writing Express) and they were very nice and had no problem with refuding the $29.95 and the $3.95 for shipping and handling, after all I did not receive a CD or any information from Grant Writing Express. If you call (1-866-960-0858) you shouldn't have any problems in getting your money refunded back to your account. I hope the best for you! We have to stick together as a nation (people) in regards to these scams. I want to say thank you to Patrick for posting the same number that was given to me by my bank. Wanted to tell my side of the story, in case it will help someone.

I feel your pain.  I fell for this scam as well.  I am currently disputing the charges with my credit card company as unauthorized and fraudulent charges.  I have also put a temporary hold on my account to prohibit any other charges.  There is no way to cancel since the phone number is that of some strange directory assistance.  If you used a credit card, you should be able to dispute the charges and have the money credited back to your account.

If you get a charge from GRANTS/NEWSPIN or from HLD* GrantHelpOrder.com then call 1-866-960-0858 and they will refund all the charges. Dont call 972-900-8293... Its someones personal phone number, he can't help you. They gave me a reference code and said I would get a refund in 5-7 business days. I had a $29.95, $74.95 and $3.95 charge from these people. I can't believe I found this link on CNN.Com.

Call cancelled the subcription during the trial period and they're still charging me a fee of $29.95 for what, I don't know.  I called that cell# and left a threatening message today.  If I don't get this resolved, I'll blast email everywhere and I just might have the news center check on this scam.  Fool me once, shame on you-Fool me twice, shame on me. I just don't want them taking money from me every month with authorization. I should have know something was up when I looked a their fake looking webpage back office. I'm glad I used a pre-paid credit card.  I'm pissed.

Same thing has happened to me. I wonder how the person got through to the 866-960-0858 number??? It is busy, busy, busy!!

I can't believe I fell for such a scam. I never received a CD in the mail. They emailed me this program to download. I forgot all about it and then saw a charge for $74 to my checking account. I tried to call and couldn't get through so I emailed them to cancel through their "contact form". That was a week ago. Two days ago and I got the damn CD and was charged $29.95 after I canceled! I called my bank and they canceled my debit card and will reissue a new one. I am going to mail back the CD today to avoid any further problems. I should have read the terms and conditions better. I'm so mad at myself!!! Good luck to you!!

I ordered the $3.95 CD and did receive it. A couple days later my account was charged with $79.95  that I recieved NOTHING for. 3 weeks later I had $29.95 taken out for Grants/newsspin. I did not order ANYTHING from these people nor have not heard of them. I have written several times and they said that they canceled my order. My $79.95 was not given back AND they took out 29.95 for a prograM I have not heard of.  I am turning this over to my Lawyer. What a scam ! ! ! ! and their ad looked so sincere.
