The infamous  “Coastal” or CFS scam.  No idea where they are located.  Call from a variety of numbers for several years now. Ignore and block any calls received from this “Coastal” group. Sometimes uses the CID of “Coastal Litigation” or Coastal Pre-litigations. Also using someting called "Lakeside Mediations"  and "Legal Review Services as their CID.  Also “First Point”.  There are several groups with the letters CFS in them.
May now IDing themselves as “Western”.

Report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.) As is endless harassing calls.

I received the same call... couldn't imagine what kind of complaint was received but definitely made my heart race. Thanks for the info this is obviously a scam.

Received A call This Morning And Answered And It Was a Recording Saying that There Was A Formal Complaint Filed Against Me So I Immediately Hung Up And Blocked Them These Scammers Did This To Me  A Couple of Years Ago and They Even Called My Mom Looking For Me And I Told Her Don't Give Out Any Information That It Was a Scam  These Low Life's Need to be Caught

Called my cellphone first, then my mother's home phone, and then my office main number (which I answer).  All had the same recording of a man with a deep voice, stating that there is a formal complaint filed against one, "my name" (in a different recorded voice), and if I have any information that can lead to my whereabouts to please contact them immediately at 888-665-1417.  And then the voice went on to say that they are filing the necessary paperwork with the local county court. And they thanked me for my cooperation.

same as all the others except the recorded name was so garbled I have no idea who they were looking for.  Don't answer calls I don't recognize.

Exactly the Same thing for me. 2 calls about complaint filed against my son.....I will block the number

called told me they were filing a charge with my local county if i did not return call.

These people are calling my father's landline and my cell phone stating the CCS has filed a complaint on behalf of WTJ Capital about a loan I defaulted on. They don't state who they - only who they are calling on behalf of.

I have gotten the same calls - I now answer MN Attorney Generals Office - they hang up immediately!

Left a 3-second BLANK message.  That is, my voicemail picked up but their robodialer had not yet begun its spew or it was slow to hangup after hearing the beep tone.  Another robocaller.  Another spammer/scammer.

Got the message asking for an Uncle died 3 years ago. VERY DISTURBING. Not only because they asked for my dead uncle, but because I'm not even in The some state and have A completely new number.

Same # called my son, electronic voice (male) said they wanted to know my whereabouts, and complaint papers have been filed against me
