Male with poor English could be from India, calling and calling during the days hours only for my retired, mother-in-law,  saying he's with Humana and they need to come into our home to complete a 2016 healthy assessment to update the Dr office and Humana Patient records.  When I called Humana to see if this was thru they said NO- Humana does not send people into anyone's home to update their records and they don't call very often.  They were concerned it was a scam and suggested we notify the police.  I called the # back and they answered as Home Advantage, male said they are the scheduling dept for Humana and they we referred by Humana.  When I tried to cancel the appt, he said you have to give me the Humana # and I declined, he was adamant about getting her info and when I declined he got upset and ended the call.  I'm very concerned this is an attempt to steal identity, home invasion or insurance fraud scam.

I have never been called by this number, but it is the number I was given if I had any questions or wanted to change my appointment for the free in-home assessment that Human provides through Home Advantage for its patients.

My elderly mother received a call from this number as well and was told Humana was going to visit them on a Saturday.  She didn't remember that much about the call when I spoke to her about it.  Thanks to W. Chiranand's message about this I was able to alert my mother.

Same thing.  Called from 8652178034 about Humana health assessment. Gave 18887046971 as number to call.  Called Humana instead... was told it was NOT Humana and to not give out any personal information.

Woman who said she was Regina with Humana called and  and after answering several questions regarding my coverage she offered to send a Nurse Practioner out to review my health, medicine,  home safety, et.c. When I accepted , she said the only times available were on Sunday at 8:00am and 11:00am. I scheduled the 11:00 one, later thought something was funny about it, tried to cancel at the phone number extension 0068 but was unable to leave a message. I will be unavailable to keep the appointment due to a family emergency.

My phone rated it as a scam, so I rejected it.  They left a message giving a different number, claimed to be from my insurance provider but did not identify the provider.

Home Health Assessment on behalf of Humana health insurance. Humana bought out the Nursing company that they used to farm out the assessments, to. If the entire goal was that Humana would actually put what they "discover" about their customers during the assessment, into use that WOULD ACTUALLY HELP the patient that would be AWESOME. However, I believe 100% that these "assessments"  are likely to hurt the individual patients over the long term. Nothing is free.  Humana AND Home Health Advantage are for profit corporations beholden to share holders, and not the patients that are costing their precious profit $$ to drop because of medically necessary care being provided to their customer-patients. Don't want 'em. Don't need 'em.

I Was called and scheduled an appointment for a nurse to come into my home. I allowed this “nurse” to come into my home and she used my iPhone to call 18552188526. I strongly feel this is some type of scam!

Last week a guy with an accent called to schedule an appointment for a Humana home health assessment so we scheduled it for 3:00 on Saturday.  He said the nurse would be Cheryl and this is her phone number.  Today, a young lady called, possibly Cheryl, but I couldn't hear her very well, to reschedule the appointment to 2:30 and several times said she would see me "tomorrow" which is Friday.  I corrected her both times and she seemed confused.   Several years ago I received the same type of call, scheduled the appointment for a Saturday, but no one ever showed up at my home.  I called the number they gave me, but no one ever answered. I never heard from anyone.  I will call Humana to verify that they do these assessments.   The number that called me today had no area code.

After some digging I found out this is a legitimate call but it sounded really sketchy.  The woman that left me a message had a slight accent  and wanted to talk to me about a home health assessment through my Humana Medicare Advantage Plan.  A quick Google of the phone number showed many people had reported it as a scam.  I called Humana directly and they said no, it was a real third party company that they had contracted to contact customers about a real home health assessment.  I let them know I didn't think it was a good idea to have third party companies contacting their elderly customers about coming into their homes.  This is the way scammers usually operate.  They apologized and said they would note my concerns.  Again, this is a legitimate Humana call but just bad phone marketing policy, in my opinion.

If you know who called, why did you come to a phone number look-up site? Do you often look up numbers when you know to whom they belong?
Besides, just because this was a legitimate call for you doesn't mean it is for everyone. Scammers spoof legitimate numbers all the time. Better to never give a caller personal information of any sort but instead call a known number for whomever they're claiming to be. In this case, call Humana at the number on your card or their official website. Better safe than sorry.

This IS a free in home nurse assessment by Humana. Every year it is free to their policy holders. It's wonderful actually! Great service they offer! After they come the nurse reports any issues you may have healthwise to your Dr. No scam at all, just Humana at its best!!

Hey, good for you that you would just accept a stranger to call and invite them into your home because they said the word "free". Gotta wonder why your so aggressive to reassure call recipients it is a legitimate call they will receive.

The truth is, scammers spoof legitimate numbers and pretend to be from the number they spoofed to gain access to your personal info, commit insurance fraud or in this case, possible burglary. Why would anyone post how legitimate a call was on a website where people warn each other of criminals who call to scam you?
You can't guarantee people the caller is legitimate, can you?
Never trust a caller is who they claim to be! Always call from an official number to verify if they called at all.
