My name is Kim Washington and I have received a call from  "Matthew Hope" claiming that I owe on a payday loan.  I have never taken out a payday loan and do not appreciate being called on my job and cell phone # being threatened with arrest, court cases, criminal charges, etc.  I do not appreciate it and this must stop.

these people keep calling me at work after I had told them NOT to call me.  I do not know of this debt that they are telling me about.  Told me they were going to serve me with legal papers and that I am being sued.  meanwhile everyone speaks broken english. People are very rude.  I told them I was contacting my friend who is a lawyer and they hung up on me.  HOW do I get them to stop calling my job?? it's embarrassing.  They said that they had my sealed paperwork in front of them but then when I demanded to know what this was from they knew everything??? Who can I report to get them to stop calling me and making threats?? I appreciate any help I can get at this point!

I received a call from this # as well saying I had a payday loan that I did not pay back. They harass me at work and demand to speak to my manager. Then they requested my lawyers information to contact them.

Theses guys r definately [***] I asked oh u from the legal dept , I then asked for their attorneys license number, address of business, I said I know wut u guys r doing they then told me trhey will never get caught becuz there is too many of them rhen after scarring them so bad I called later on that day and now he's saying this 888 no is a. Residential no, beware guys

Threatened to call my work if I didn't give him my Social Security #. This man calls me every day around 7pm. You can't understand what he is saying. he is not a us citizen.

I got the same call from this Austin White, stating that he was going to sue me and the company i work for... BEWARE it's a scam.. This person had a very thick accent, could bearly understand what he was saying...

I received several calls and they call my elderly mom as well and harrassed her.  It was Michelle Jones but she had heavy accent.  I called the number and reached Ada, again heavy accent, and when I questioned him about the loan details, he hung up on me. I called back and reached Larry.  he also hung up on me when I started to question details regarding the loan.  I finally reached Michael.  He advised they were from Morgan Law in Florida.  I gave him my attorney's name and number and he advised that the calls would stop.

The person said her name was Michelle Jones and that I owed for a payday loan. She said the payday loan was from US cash Advance. I do not have a payday loan out and never have. I told her that I was going to contact the FCC and the FBI and they hung up on me. They could not tell the name of the company that they were representing. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they called my gf and told her that she was not legal in the USA because some papers were messed up ( she just got her green card)  and that she will get deported,,,, she totally panicked

If you have, tell them you have reported them to the police, FBI, Secret Service and the state attorney.  

Being run by illegit call centers in India and Pakistan using VOIP and phone spoofing technology.  Best way to deal with them is to ignore them and do not give them any attention. They thrive on attention.  If you by mistake talk to them, do NOT verify anything.  Tell them you know it is scam and you are recording all calls now and that their conversation is being recorded.  The calls will stop.

PS They are just trying to scare you and hoping you will either give away or confirm ID info or send them money.   IGNORE THEM!!!! they will say anything to try to scare you. the fact that they do just goes to show they are a scam should be dealt accordingly.

how many names does this man who doesn't speak any clear English have? i have 6 different names. This one was Charlie Jones, and forgive me, but NO way was he a Charlie! Get real!!!!!!!!!! This is ridiculous!

a guy named steven mark saying my son is in trouble he put my name down as a referance and he is with a legal firm and i am to have him call asap if not i am to call him he was stupid i saved it on my messages the number that it had when it said what #it came from came up as 00000000 and what law firm does that and if i dont call i could be in trouble with the state of pa. i got a call from him b4 and told him that a lawyer was on the case and he was a scam he in returned and said then he will be in behind the bars looking out i told him he will be then he slamed the phone down and he still calls threating us. it needs to stop and he does need to be behind the bars i do have the called saved

Hi I just received a call from a Donald Griffin claiming to be calling me from the Bureau of Crime Investigation. I don't know what it was in reference to because I told him I wasn't home. He didn't call my home phone he called my cell phone. Also the number he called from wasn't a complete number. It was 214-452-786

Just received a call from this number. I couldn't understand the guy, connection kept going in and out, heavy foreign accent, bad English etc. Said call was for Mary Hoffman, don't know any Mary Hoffman and it was regarding a legal matter in which she was named as the contact for Donald Cash, don't know him either!
I got the same kind of call about 6-8 months ago, only once though. I did report it to the FDCL, don't know what came about from it.

Yes, I have been harrassed on my job now for about a week. The number is 888-708-7701. The caller states that I owe a payday loan, but wouldn't give me the name of the company I supposedly owed. he did state that I owed $395.00 and if I didn't give him my credit card information then it would become $3,000.00. I advised him to send something in writing to my home address so that I could look into futher he refused and stated that he wanted to speak with my lawyer. i advised him I wasn't hiring a lawyer for his scam and that if he was lonely and wanted to talk to call my cell phone and not my work number. He put soemone else on the phone which they were hollaring at me and stated that they would continue to call my job that there wasn't anything I could do since I don't know where he is. Such a scam. I sure wish I knew where they were so I file charges against them.

I got a call from this number and they also called my mother saying it was the police department he used the name john smith. told my mother he was calling from texas and when he called me he said he was calling from florida and had a legal law sue against me. Also said I was an immigrant and I could be deported...umm no last time I checked I was born in america.... Is scam to take your money  they will contact your family, friends and try to scare you. tell them you will be filling a police report and they will leave you alone by the way he has a real heavy accent.

I called my local F.B.I office, they told me there is nothing you can do about it, he said they're hundreds of calls made like this each day. He also noted, they're just scams, people trying to scam you for money. Do not answer, Do not call back, completely ignore them. Further more there might be a place to file a complaint about the number but that's about it, nothing else can be done.

*I just received this call no more than 10 minutes ago, some guy named Jerry Hunt. NOTICE how the phone call cuts out on certain words, it's all a ploy to scam people for money, nothing on the phone call that's important like the name of the department they're calling from is muffled.

Don't waste your time on the phone with these people!!

*The number popped on my cell phone like this "Name Unavailable" followed by the numbers "0000"

I received numerous calls from this #1-888-708-7701 claiming that i owed a payday loan that i never took out the first gentleman i talked to was named Tony Johnson then i talked to his so called supervisor named Robert Davis the both claimed to be working for a law firm named Morris in fort Myers Florida. Both of these men were very rude they keep calling herassing me at work and at home they even herrassed my manager trying to get personal info. I also check to see if there were any attornies in the florida offices of Morris Law Firm and neither one of their names we found.
