- enforcement replies to DENISE NICHOLSanyone getting a harassing or threatening call from this company should immediately file a complaint with the NYS attorney general's office using the form here: http://www.ag.ny.gov/bureaus/consumer_frauds/ ... o_complaint.pdf
legitimate companies do not threaten you, they must provide written documentation of the debt when asked, and should be more than willing to tell you their address.

Marcus? - TTBThey are looking for my son who is off fighting a war so that these idiots can exercise their rights of free speech and scamming people. They called my father and he is upset and thinks it is legit and wants me to call the Red Cross to locate my son. Good thing I goggled this. Is there anything that can be done?

- TTB replies to DENISE NICHOLSYou work for them, right?
They have harrassed my father and I about something we have no clue about. - Jennifer replies to Sher| 1 replyI was wondering if you still had their emial address by any chance. I am a paralegal and I am needing to contact these idiots, but they either hang up on me or refuse to give me any information with regards to our client.
If anyone has an e-mail from these people it would be greatly apprecoated. - AnonymA lady first calls and tries to get personal information from me but when I asked her for validation of the debt she transfers me to Dan Coplin and he get pretty ugly and states that he will send me something but needed a fax or email address because mail takes to long but I refused to give him any of that information because I want it to go through the mail because then if they are fraud they are commiting Federal Fraud as well. I will wait and see if I get something in the mail (which I doubt) but will wait and see. Meanwhile I tried getting some information from him as to who he worked for and the phone number in which he can be reached and as well the name of the Payday Loan company in which he states I owe the debt to. He tells me he works for Liberman, Hunt and Associates but then states why I wanted the phone number, did it come up on caller ID. When I told him it did not he just said "HUMM" he then goes are you sure so I got a little loud and said stop playing games and just give me the number. He said well I will mail you the documents but mean while I am going ahead and filing a case on you in ****** county and I should receive a summons.

- Oscar's MammaI got two voice mail messages on my cell phone and one on my work phone from this company. First, if they are a legitimate collection agency they should know you are only legally allowed to call once a day. They also called my mother-in-law and left the same message. Same thing as everyone else... XXX is under investigation, contact authorities, issue summons to your place of residence and place of employment, etc. etc. I called my attorney as I am under Chapter 13. She is filing a contempt of court against them and suing them for damages. Although this will not stop them, if everyone starts fighting back, it may slow them down. They are a scam and are looking to scare people out of their money!

- SCORPIOThis company has harassed my husband, myself & every other person my husband has or had any contact with. They gave a fake case nuumber which we contacted the courts in the county they said it was from. The case number does not exist. The info they gave was incorrect. Their mistake! My husband is in the military. My husband has pressed charges against them for harassment & threats. Companies like these need to be shut down immediately. Anyone who gives in to their threats is only adding fuel to the fire. When it comes to calls like this, my husband & I do not mess around! My advice to companies & people that seek to threaten, harass and intimidate others, PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TO WHO YOU ARE SCREWING WITH!
- GrannyI received a call tonight from Lieberman Hunt Associates. A Mr. Johnson was on the line asking for my son who wasn't home at the time. In an intimidating tone of voice, he said it was urgent that he speak to him and asked if he could leave a phone number for my son to return the call.He said that it was very urgent that he hear from my son immediately because he has an identity theft claim against him. Mr. Johnson also left a case number for my son. I thought something was fishy about the call so I decided to investigate the company online. What I discovered confirmed my suspicion. All I found were negative comments from furious victims. I've never heard of this company. What they don't know is My son is an Attorney, and he will certainly get to the bottom of this farce. I hope he socks it to everyone involved Maybe all of you who have been harrassed willl be vindicated.

- AJLI've gotten numerous phone calls from these people as well looking for my husband. They leave messages with his social security number on my voicemail stating they are from PayDay Loan Yes. I've worked in the legal community for 15 years. First of all, they can't issue a warrant for your arrest for a bad debt. Nobody will be coming to your house to arrest you. The absolute most that they can do is file a lawsuit in the county in which you live. If they do that, then you will be served with a complaint listing a court date. If you ignore the court date, they can take a default judgment against you and can ultimately garnish your wages. This is the only course that they can take. They can't issue a warrant for your arrest and they can't garnish your wages without a court order. Most payday loan companies will not ever file lawsuits because they do not follow the laws in most states and actually are illegal in most states. Please be smart before dealing with these people. If you owe the money, of course you should pay it; however, always get things in writing and always pay with a money order. Never give your bank account or credit card number to these people.
- jake replies to DENISE NICHOLSdid you pay and how much and when because its sound a little fishy. everyone get harrassed and knows somethings not right and you just pay them so easily. you are full of it
- CONCERNED PERSONI have been calling them all morning at Lieberman, Hunt and Associates at 888 727 5888. and they were very threatening to me. I also had an attorney called them and she was hung up on 3 times by 3 different people and she ask for their information and they called they couldn't hear her. She asked for a fax number and again they hung up on her claiming they couldn't hear her. THEY ARE A FRAUD, THEY CLAIM TO BE LAWYERS AND WHEN YOU BEGAN TO ASK QUESTIONS THEY HANG UP ON THEM. THEY WANT GIVE YOU THEIR NAME. DON'T SEND MONEY OR GIVE BANK OR CREDIT CARE INFORMATION UNTIL YOU HAVE SOMETHING IN WRITING BY MAIL OR EMAIL
- HJCheck this out, so I've been trying to get a fax number to Lieberman, Hunt and Associates and that gave me this number which answers to a cleaning company 716 566 5849. 5140 Main Street Suite 303. Debra Low so I'm going to harass them also and let them know the fax number was incorrect.

- BethM in OHThese bozos left a threatening & illegal (per FDCPA guidelines) voicemail message on my cell phone, so I called. I advised the woman when she answered the phone & pulled up my account with the case # they provided in the message, that I was going to record the conversation (OH laws only need 1 of the phone parties to agree, lucky me). She then hung up, and called back a few seconds later. I started recording the conversation again, and then she said who the original creditor was: TenDollarPaydayLoan (.com).
They were included in my bankruptcy this year, so I told her so & gave her my case #. She said they would not contact any of the phone number contacts they had. I'm just glad that it wasn't a payday loan that I had somehow missed!- Caller: Lieberman, Hunt & Associates

- nodummy replies to DENISE NICHOLSagain, the previous post is obviously another one from the scamming company. don't worry, the consumer protection folks say they are already onto you. time to look for a new job, jerk.
- Patches replies to Know My Rights| 1 replyGosh ppl I feel sooo stupid, I thought this company was legit, I should have picked up on it when I initailly called and the guy answered with "hello" and not identifiying the company by name. After going through the motions I ask where they were based, why did the young lady respond with "huh" and then instead of stating City & State just gave me the state (NY) until I asked WHERE in New York, heck, NY is a big state!!! I did more research and I found several complaints with the BBB. I get the feeling these are either Ex-convicts or Parolees that some State Agencies and Employers hire to recieve a Tax Credit, they use them in Call Centers and various States have them answering their Tourism Information Call Centers lines. Folks we are in a recession and no one has money to throw away or be hustled out of, at least I don't. FYI, when they call you ask for their Federal ID # every business has one then go to the IRS website and plug it in see what you get also check with BBB and stay plugged in to this information highway!!! This is the Voice of Experience, hindsight is 20/20.
- Patches replies to PatchesI agree with you bmccray, since i read your post it hit me, this company Leiberman, Hunt & Associates said I had a PayDay Loan for the same amount as you stated and for the same length of time, what I find funny is my total amount for assessed fees is supposedly $1371.54. it should either mirror mines or mines should mirror your amount. These company if they are a collection agency is abusing their power and violating consumers' rights.
- MT replies to LGHow long have you been woriking for this scam of a company!!
- Patches replies to DENISE NICHOLSYou are sooo full of crap!!!!!! I looked this company up and it doesn't exist, ppl don't be fooled by Denise, all companies (businesses) are recorded with the county and have a federal identification number listed with the IRS, guess what Denise (folks) they don't have one !!!!!!! Isn't that strange. Hey Denise, are you one of those parolees from Albion Correctional ????
- PatchesThreatened my boyfriend with felony prosecution if he didn't make payment arragements by the end of the day. What they are doing is a prosecuting offense, extortion, theft by deception and I'm sure using the telephone to extort is definitely a federal offense (FCC regs) just as with postal fraud. These people must be shut down!! although they will just set-up shop elsewhere!!!
