I just got the same call except from a different number and person like everyone else. They called on cell and house phone. The call wasn't even for me. He gave reference # and said to call 1-888-732-5918 to stop further action or they would be sending out papers that had to be signed for.

Number called and gave me this number with a reference code. Had my birthday and an address with information you could find online. One address was bogus and said I owed them money from 20 years ago. If I don’t pay they will take me to court and put this on my record for 10 years. Would settle for about 2 grand off the bill if I paid now.

It’s a scam everyone.  I’ve had this same message and similar messages through the years.  Ignore them, don’t call them back and don’t get anxiety about it.  If it was important or official, you’d receive a notice in the mail or would be served in person.

I got the same message and they used a relatives name

same thing, i looked up the number from last week when they called it was a gynecologist number and then I looked up the attorney office they said they were calling from, he was an attorney that could no longer represent in California.  Now they are calling for me on family numbers with a different number.  I called them and told them they need to stop threatening and come serve their documents that the state police will be waiting with me to receive my documents.

I didn't get the call from this number, they used 877-643-3385 but I wanted to add this here. There were calling about a complaint for my father who has been dead for 6 years.  They are rude and evasive. Beware.

I have been getting these same kinds of calls & voicemails so I dug into it today. Who the 877 number belongs to, etc. Sanders & Associates in West Sacramento, CA. Wade Sanders is not even allowed to practice law anymore, per an article I found. He was disbarred after his conviction for possession of child pornography. Serve papers, my a$$. They all need to get a life. I will be reporting all of this to my state's attorney's office, filing a report with the FDCPA & the FTC. I'm sure after these are stopped another will step in & take their place but we can hope one day it'll end!
