Got this message today. Have been getting more and more of them in some fashion in the past year. I never freak out. Just shut down or do a restart. Everything is fine after my PC boots back up.

I got this message after clicking next for hair styles of the 90's. I now know, if you encounter a next tab, don't press it. It's a way for hackers to violate your system. Anyways, I called and got some foreign guy who didn't address himself as Microsoft. I hung up and blocked call.  I wanted to take a screen shot of my computer and could through my Word tab located below the computer screen!!! After that I CTRL + ALT + DELETE and end Task. All's good so far.

Such a scam!  Do NOT call them!  I had to take my computer to my security people to get rid of this virus.  I do no personal or financial work on this computer.  Every time something like this happens I am very glad that I don't.

1st time - don't remember where I was on computer when I saw my computer screen do a little twinkling, within 5 days I got a call from this number telling me it was from Microsoft support and that I had a glitch in my computer and to be on  my computer so I could give them infor. At first I thought, because of the glitch that I had seen, that I really did have a problem - it sure looked real. But I knew that Microsft would never call anyone trying to help them with a computer problem and that just does not happen so this alone made me suspicious I told them no.  2nd time I was on FB when I saw this glitch once again and within 5 days I got the same call once again telling me it was from Microsoft support trying to get me to go into my computer to get them information of which I did not - 3rd time just a few days ago, I was once again in FB going into a sight about what the three digits on a carton of eggs meant (not from anyone I know - my mistakes) when my computer started blinking on and off like there was a 5 alarm fire warning and up comes this message (on my computer screen) telling me to call 888-732-8083.  It said not to go to any financial sites, etc. because my computer was in jeopardy.  I thought about this for a couple of days and realized that something else was going on.  I did call the number but as soon as I heard the girls voice it sounded like the same person I had talked to 2 times before, I did not give her a chance to answer and told her that I had called Microsoft and they had a tracer on my computer and was going to be receiving information from my computer about them and she hung up the phone immediately, without not one more word out of her mouth.  Previously she tried to talk me into giving her info and would not stop talking for a second. It was this moment that I knew they had been trying to scam me to get me to give them information from my computer. Like I said, each time this has happened it has been when I was in Facebook which in no way is connected to Microsoft so people out there beware - do not give anyone info from your computer - they are very tricky indeed.  All of this looked so real and how they can get my computer screen to react as it did to make it look real is beyond me, but they did.  WORD OF CAUTION HERE - NEVER GIVE INFO FROM YOUR COMPUTER TO ANYBODY, ESPECIALLY OVER THE PHONE - IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE TAKE IT TO A COMPUTER REPAIR PERSON LOCALLY AND GET THEM TO LOOK AT IT..
