The caller left message saying they had papers to deliver to me.  Company name was not given.  I believe it is a scammer call.  Would like to find name of company and seek action against them.

I got calls from this number on Friday Jan 22, 2016 as well (1888-733-2171)about my ex husband.

The first call was a recorded message from a man called Drew.  I called the number a bunch and only got voicemail's one was hard to hear the mans name the other was a Pat Horton.

Well just this morning I got a call from 1818-296-9536 from "Pat Horton" I was told it was about a summons for credit card with my ex husband and that my name was on it..  I filed Bankruptcy years ago and when I told dear Pat (she/he I'm not sure) that I included every single card / account that I was on with my ex husband, Pat asked me why.  When I said because my lawyer told me to.  Pat got nasty really nasty and hung up on me.

I got the same location for CA so I have placed a call to the local BBB and gave them the numbers and name.  Scammers forget that its Illegal to do this. So the BBB is going look at this with the local police.  Plus I have my Lawyer checking in to it as well.

I have been getting the messages from Drew Wilson and when you try to call back you get the voicemail for Pat Horton. I called once and some woman answered and hung up on me. So I ignored them because I found these posts, then they started calling my grandmother's home and trying to tell her that I was using her information, which is not true,so they wanted her to call back and discuss it with them.
Pat told her that there would be a summons delivered to her house on Monday whether I lived there or not. Personally I believe it to be harassment if they have something to deliver, then deliver it.

I received the recorded message they were going to serve me with a summons at my job or home. No company name was given. The recorded message sounded like a voice altering device was used.

I keep getting calls from this same number - I have perfect credit and don't have any credit cards that I owe on.  I have called and keep being transferred to Pat Horton as well.  I will not be accepting these calls or returning them.  Thanks for all the information

Received a message from drew Wilson saying he had a package to deliver me and to call back(1-888-733-2171). When I called the number I got Music then a lady answered. She told me my name and address. Told me  I owed 1813.00 and if I pay  half today 2/2/2016 then I wouldn't go to jail. She also said she was with commerce bank but keep putting me on hold and seem unprofessional. Anybody has any information please share.

I received the same message from a Drew Wilson. I don't owe anything now and I did leave a credit card or two with out paying like 12 years ago, but those are not showing on my credit report. So I am not worry about them. It's a scam they got old information and trying to scare people.

Real process servers DO NOT warn you, in advance of serving! They just show up and serve you. There is no place for a telephonic call for process serving, in the American Legal system. If someone calls to serve legal papers and asks to call back, IT’S SCAM. 100% SCAM. Process Servers who would not have any information about the case. It’s their job to serve the paperwork that has been handed over to them. That’s all they can do!

The callers obviously are CRIMINALS posing as process servers and they will use legalese to induce a victim to believe that they are legit.

There is absolutely no need for you to call back. If in doubt, check with the concerned court.

The FTC had recently shut down scam companies which targeted consumers. The scammers call consumers, posing as process servers seeking to deliver legal papers that supposedly related to a lawsuit. The scammers threaten to get consumers arrested if they fail to pay “court costs” or “legal fees.” However, according to the FTC, the debt collectors making calls to consumers were not actually process servers, attorneys, or their employees. In many instances, consumers did not even owe any debt.

I just received a call concerning what I thought was a closed account due to the fact that its been over 10 years since I've used this particular bank. It gave the same message as stated above. Not sure whats going on but the language the woman was using would have you thinking your going to jail tomorrow. Thank God I decided to do some digging and found this website. I'm thinking about contacting the bank to see  if I have a remaining balance. I would rather hear it from them than these people.

I too received a call from Drew Wilson about a credit card debit from over 10 years ago from a bank I've never heard of. when I called them back they told me they were pressing fraud charges and would be freezing my assets. As stated in the other posts this BS process servers don't call you and tell you that they are serving you. I took the advice the phantom and filled a complaint with the FTC.

Got a message For my father, I called to let them know he past away seven years ago, and to stop calling I don't need the reminder. The lady knew my name and social security number, she said I was on my fathers discover card account and that they were going to put a Lien and a judgment on me if I didnt pay the amount owed. I informed them that I have never used a credit card of my fathers nor was I aware that he had ever added me to an account. I told them his estate was handled by an attorney and probate court, and that any debts he had were null at this time because all the proper notifications were advertised during the handling of his estate. They said regardless I was responsible for the debt and said see you in court and hung up. I called probate court they said it sounded a bit on the rediculous side and not to worry until I was actually served with something. I then called my dads attorney he said call them Back and give them his name for any further contact. A different woman answered the phone, and was nice until I explained the conversation I had just had with "pat", I told her to contact my attorney, she refused to take the attorney information, and said that if my father had a million dollars I would want it if he was dead, then said see you in court and hung up on me. They refused to give me the firm name or proof of my having any part in this debt. I told the attorney this and he said not to worry about it, and any time a collector of any kind calls to start the conversation off with "speak to my attorney" and provide the name and number, never engage them. Still kinda scared given that they have my social security number...dont like that element to be in possession of my sensitive information!!

FRAUD.  This call is fraud.  I have perfect credit and do not owe anyone money.  They will have your old info, even your social security number.  They will throw around legal Jargon to scare you.  They have been contacting me for months now.  Now that I know it is fraud, I play with them and they get mad.  This last call she said, "you're that [***]" and hung up.  I requested that they serve me already as I have been waiting...
