Called my cell phone (AT&T), left v.m. to tell me that my new bundled charges might seem higher the first month because of any installation fee and pro rated charges for the first month.

isn't this the crap charge they give for 'allowing' to serve us with long distance?  I don't use my landline for long distance but yet still have to pay for the access?

My husband just got off the phone with AT&T.  They tried to double bill us for long distance service.  Canceled L.D. several years ago, plus I had all my bills from January 2011.  Bottom line, they apologized and took the charges off the bill.  You have to watch them very closely.  I learned this the hard way once before.  Good luck and don't take any guff from them!

Refuse to pay it. Deduct it from your bill. It is a AT&T's customer service number AND a toll free number. Read your bill - there a special address under Terms and Conditions to mail any payment that is being disputed. Send it there with your payment.

checking my bill i found a charge of 4.35 from 1-888-757-6500  at&t  only say at&t long distance service   i want it removed  it's a toll free number and service number  refuse to pay it's your right

The 1 888 757 6500 is the tel number for PAYMENT OPTIONS.  It's listed in the back of the telephone bill, page 2 of 3.

what the &#@&, collect call from ATT, nothing but BS. i don't take collect calls from no-one...and i check my next phone bill and protest....

I agree with you.  I also had this number on my telephone bill that was sent to me on my computer as well as (six) 6  toll calls, something about Duplicate Bills.  I talked to about six different people. The man that I talk to agreed to remove those, said his name was John. I did not notice that number or pin, so looks like I will have to make another phone call.

Like many of the posters here, if it's probably fake. Sure, it is AT&T's phone#. They do not hangup and a person will not leave a message or ask for personal information. However, I do know that if you receive calls like this you have almost certainly been just added to an FBI/NSA list. They like to get voice samples and confirm information and so companies like AT&T are used and fake telemarketing firms are used. If it is from an 800# and they don't leave a message - or the message is to leave your name, address, etc, block the number, change yours, and if you see anything else strange - get a new phone.

Stop calling me!!!

I picked up the phone and said hello.  A recorded voice said "Goodbye."  I hung up and blocked the number.  I do not have an AT&T account.

Unwanted call. Caller ID showed: ATT. Looked suspicious. Did not pick up. Caller left no message. Most likely a scam

Second call from this number this week, on 6/12/2019 & 6/13/2019. CID said ATT  Left no message & hung up when the answering machine picked up. We didn’t have any reason to talk with AT&T, so obviously this was a scam call. I never answer calls from numbers I don’t know or call them back.
