I rcvd a call today. Googled the # and found this board. Then I called the 888 number left on the recording. Got a guy who told me his name is SAM COOPER. Gave him the number they called, last & first name. He couldn't find any info on my in his system. Which didn't surprise me. I told him that I want my number removed from their system and not to be called again, to which he said they would comply. We'll see.
Sounds like a boiler room sham operation, poorly run. A shake down business.

They ARE a legitamate company. They collect mainly MEDICAL co-pays to hospitals. They offer a REDUCED co-pay generally 25.00 less than what was owed. I had an old bill fro Bethesda. They arent scammers.

I'm an employer who has received a letter requesting personal information on a former employee.  I did not complete the requested form for information because I was not familiar with the company.  When I called they refused to say who they were or what the company did.  So I told them in no uncertain terms would I answer their letter. Thanks for posting this information.  Now I know.  And they STILL won't get any information from me or my company!!

The calls started a few months ago and they left up to 3 messages a day at all hours.  So I called them back and politely told them they had the wrong number; I don't know the person they were looking for.  Then the phone calls just started again so now I'm a little upset.  When I called back and told them that I had spoken to them months ago the guy denied it.  So now I'm wondering if they'll just wait and continue harassing me again.  Shouldn't these people have this information in their computers?

They call as often as 4 times a day. Pests. I've had this phone number for 19 years.  As I see from previous comments, they are a collection agency.  Well, I don't owe anybody any money and never have.  Can't this harassment be stopped?

I've been receiving this calls a month ago, they call at 8 am, and I have a newborn at home ! So , I'm really angry about this situation. They said I have a debt in a credit card that it's not mine, he told me the last digit of these credit card, and a wrong social security as well. The might be a collect agency but they are a scam too, they don't have the right to be harasing me. Or the law allows them call anyone thew want to and collect a debt you don't owe? I'm filling a complaint with the police.

Same  as other people before me. They have been annoying us with insistance to ask for private info. I do not buy nor sell on line and I don't owe any money to anyone. Please get them to stop harassing innocent people.

I have received a few calls from them, I wouldn't call them back (especially after reading your feedback).  They are just fishing - I pay all my bills on time, always.  It is just the newest way to get your information.  Don't give them anything!

PRI has been calling several times a day.  Since I have an answering machine, they can call until Hades freezes over.  I just hit delete.  To the gentleman (collector) who said we shouldn't ignore the calls, what is his comment to those of you who said you tried calling the number supplied by PRI, with no results??  If it is a legitimate collection agency, why do these return callers get the run around.  I have no outstanding debt and feel no obligation to call PRI back when they do not give a specific frame of reference or even indicate the call is for me, by name.

PRI stands for Premiere Recovery Inc. it is a collections agency and they have helped me out tremenously. I had had a credit card debt I had been ignoring for years and a fine gentlemen by the name of "Paul Saulie" guided me thru the proccess of getting my bill paid in full in turn helping me clear up my credit so I could them purchase my dream home to house my family of seven and my aging mother. I feel I owe a debt of "thanks" to Mr. Saulie and the fine team of professionals at "PRI" god bless them and god speed!

I RECIEVED A CALL FROM PRI FOR MY HUSBAND AND I WAS TREATED WITH SUCH DISRESPECT. A MAN NAMED JAY TAYLOR TOLD ME THAT I WAS JUST BEING A NOSY WIFE TRYING TO FIND OUT INFORMATION ABOUT MY HUSBAND'S BUSINESS. HE WOULD'NT TELL ME WHAT THE CALL WAS IN REFERENCE TO, HE THREATENED TO CALL MY HUSBANDS JOB AND EVEN TOLD ME THAT HE HAD BEEN INVESTIGATING HIM.PRIOR TO TODAY'S PHONE CALL, HE CALLED THE EVENING BEFORE AND WOULD NOT SAY ANY MORE THAN "I WILL CALL AGAIN". I THINK PRI IS A COLLECTION AGENCY BUT WITH VERY UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS PRACTICES AND A VERY RUDE AND IGNORANT STAFF
AND THEY WILL ONLY RECIEVE THE SAME TREATMENT  THAT THEY GIVE IF THEY CONTINUE TO CALL MY HOME. BETTER STILL I THINK WILL CONTINUE TO SCREEN MY CALLS THROUGH MY CALLER I.D. CONSEQUENTLY THEY WILL NEVER GET THROUGH TO MY HUSBAND.

Just fax them a letter saying to cease and desist calling your number, then send it certified mail. They have to abide ny that and if they call after that you can sue them for $1000...Most of these bill collectors can be stopped in their tracks with that letter and will go bark at someone else. The only time to worry isif they sue you, and the collectors that do that will hardly ever call you, they don't have to..they will just get your bank account. So the more they call, the more harmless they are.

Got a call from a Mark Smith on my cell phone voicemail telling me that myself or my attorney needs to call 888-773-8452 before 5pm and that it was a time sensitive situation. I called using a blocked number they wanted my phone number I would not give it to them asking them to identify who they were and the nature of the call. Some guy named Paul asked me again for my number and I said tell me who you are, what does PRI stand for he would not tell me. I asked him what kind of company is it , he said "Oh we do several different things" I asked again who they were and how do I know it is not some sort of scam he said "What if I am ?" He was extemely RUDE and hung up on me. I received more calls on my cell phone and 2 at my home number. So I called the next day this time without caller block and I got Mark Smith's direct line. I asked what this call was in reference to and he instantly was very hostile telling me I owed some $500.00 balance on a credit card I never opened , that I had made 2 payments 2 yrs. ago he talked with me on the phone and I had made some sort of payment arrangements with him. As I continued to deny the accusations and to explain this debt owed he was rude , yelled at me , very condensending , told me I was a liar etc... Told me to check my credit report. I asked him if he was sure he was talking to the correct person he insisted yes and I owe this money . He then blurted out an address that I have never lived at nor did I even recognize and the last 4 digits of a SSN that was not mine ! I told him he had the wrong number and that he needed to apologize to me for being so rude and accusing me of a wrongful debt, he laughed at me said no way then started to go off on me further !!! I threatened to turn him in and he continued to laugh , yell an further ridicule me. What an [***] !!!!!!!!

They keep calling and calling, asking for someone with a similar name to mine (but not me). Over and over I tell them I'm not the person they're looking for. Argh! I'm chronically ill and really wish I could get them to stop calling our house at all hours of the day and night. So far they've been polite to me but they just keep calling. And calling. And calling...

I keep getting calls from this company to my business asking for someone who use to own my company who is dead.  How can I contact the BBB or who can I report them to.  They always hang up on me when I ask who they are.

I called the (888) 773-8452 number.  I didn't have to ask for Ms. Covington.  When the operator came on, I immediately asked to be removed from their list.  They asked for the number being called.  When I gave it to them they said the calls were for some lady with the same last name as me.  I said she didn't live here, and the operator said she'd remove my number from their list.  The operator was very friendly.  Let's see if that works...

My 11 year old daughter was getting calls from this company on her cell phone.  I called this company using the 888-773-8452 number that was calling her phone. Someone in customer service answered my call.  I asked them if this was PRI and they said yes.  I told them that they were calling my 11 year old daughter's cell phone and I wanted them to stop.  THey said they were looking for someone named "Terry", I said I had never heard of this person. They told me they would remove my daughter's cell phone number from their computer.  They were not rude to me at all.  I will let you know if the calls stop or not.

I had this number just call me and asked for me. I ask who are you and he gave me his name as Mark. He again asked if I was me and I didnt really respond so he read off my ss#. I said so. Told me well find tell Keri that she doesnt want to deal with this he will take additional steps. Said it in a threatening tone. So I hung up. A C n D letter will be sent tomarrow. I wont talk to anyone who doesnt tell me who they are and who they are with.

These morons call my house all day long, even though we cleared up
the person they are looking for does not live here, dont even know who
it is.  But she made the mistake of calling my house at 10:25pm when they
are only allowed to call up to 9pm.  I've got the message saved and saved
on my id box and am now in the process of filing a complaint.  Bunch of
idiots!
