- Gary L WorkmanI am a hearing impaired guy that depends on the email system for the communication purposes but they will not use an email system at all for any emergency calls. I was surprised they don't have it. Just call or mail them. Other banks they have the email system and got replied quickly I do greatly appreciate their services very much but Merrick Bank has none! I cannot believe this and this is 21st century for Heaven's sake! They contact me and I have hard time to call them back but should have an email system no matter WHAT!!! I wanted it resolved immediately not wait for another 24 hours!!!

- Joanne replies to goldieI just received a call from this number. It was, in fact, Merrick Bank Fraud Department. Someone from Hungary was using my card for thousands of dollars, and then minutes later from Sri Lanka, again for thousands of dollars, all within minutes. Good catch, Merrick! THank you!

Posting your own phone number in a public place, such as this site, and expecting random visitors NOT to call it, is rather ... um ... can I say "stupid"? (How about "ill-advised", or "senseless", or "foolish"?)
I have reported your post, and hope the moderators can delete it, before the bad guys harvest your number, and subject you to a number of invitations to get scammed.
OR, was that number the phone number of your worst enemy, and you hope they will get spammed?
Here is a list of generic answers to many of the most frequently posted problems at this site. Maybe your underlying problem is among them:- The Do Not Call list works as intended, but criminal spammers ignore the law.
- Do NOT call the number back! At best, that merely confirms your phone number.
- A list of (mainly government) sites where you can report spam/scam calls is at:
http://phonehelp.2truth.com/complaint_sites.html - Asking 800notes to stop calling you is meaningless. We do not call you!
- Call blockers work. Use Google or your favorite search engine to find them.
- The IRS did NOT cold-call you!

- Brenda| 1 replyThis is a legitimate number. I have that cc..someone attempted to charge over 500.00 on it to some company I never heard of. Fortunately that was more than I had available on the card so it was declined. After I finished talking to them (fraud dept) I hung up and called the number on back of my card to verify it was a legit call.it was. They cancelled the card and is sending a new one.

- Concerned CustomerI called the number on the back of my Merrick Bank credit card and the customer service representative that I spoke with verified that there was some fraudulent charges pending on my account. She transferred me to the security department, so I didn't dial this number directly. I'm thankful that they caught this transaction because it was for $1000 some odd dollars.
