Comes up as envicore - independent authorization company for Medicare and or insurance companies - generally for radiology.  Hits my spam filter as not a known caller.  Had X-rays yesterday so assuming that’s why I received the call- NO Message left .  If in fact they needed to speak with me they need to leave a message - have called 3 times today

Received recorded call from Highmark for medical test from his doctor, said his name to press 1 then asked for his birthday on the phone keypad!! I just hung up.
Will call doctor tomorrow. Don’t like this at all. If it is legit someone didn’t think this thru. To many shady calls.

I answered the call, said on behalf of my insurance company about pre-authorization. Pressed 1 to confirm it was me and then they asked for me to input my birthday. I hung up. I'm pretty sure it was legit because I'm waiting on authorization for a medical procedure but didn't feel comfortable adding too much personal information.

Automated call left a message saying they were denying a requested medical procedure. This call was received within minutes of my talking with a physician. The call sounded like phishing, so my husband called back. He got a woman who said her name was "Lawyer." He had her spell it. He furnished the spelling of our last name, and said he was responding to the message, and asked for details. The woman then asked for my D.O.B. He provided it. But she still refused to furnish any information, not even the name of the doctor whose request for authorization was denied, unless she was talking with me. If she  wouldn't furnish any information anyway, why would she need my D.O.B.? Very suspicious, I'll call my insurance company.

Your insurance company would be the one to deny any procedures.  It would never come in within minutes of talking to a physician.  Insurance companies simply do not work that quickly.

If this is a medical insurance company, they should SAY SO. Avator? Evidor? They don't even clearly state who the heck they ARE. Plus, any scammer can SAY "this call is for regulatory purposes" and then proceed to demand your personal data! -- If this is a business, they're so completely inept at communicating that they should NOT BE a business. It's especially RUDE when people who have difficulty getting up and walking have to get to the dang phone and get nothing but some POS robocall that sounds like a scam. - I'd complain to them but I still don't know who the bleep they ARE; someone earlier wrote that it's United Health Care but when I called UHC, they told me they have no idea who the heck this is!!!

Other posters have indicated that it is Evicore.  Further, if you have problems getting to the phone there is a very easy and simple solution.  Get a cordless phone and carry it with you.  One with Caller ID and blocking ability would be best.

Caller said they were from Evicore for Aetna - asked to confirm my name in a very poorly synthesized voice and then to enter my birthdate - hung up at that point.

This call came in.  The caller name slurred but I did vaguely her a reference to my insurance company.  I'm not calling back . I'll call my insurance company.  No use paying for a service that does nothing but tell you you have a procedure.  I'm gonna let my insurance company Know this also.  Also had the funny sounding spam sound.  Mispronounced words.

Left a message at our business stating that my procedure was approved???  I called them back and asked that they not call our number and the cs rep. said they couldn't.  This is a business, not sure who they are calling for - seems very odd they would leave a message like this.

I received a call from this number stating it was Envicare. The computerized voice totally botched my name and had the insurance company wrong. I’m getting an MRI though so I presume it’s for that. I’ll logon to my insurance website to verify.
