Anyone else getting calls from this number?

I just got a call, but caller id showed a technology center.  In the voice mail they said to call this number.  They called me three times in a row before leaving the message.  Yesterday they called from a local number saying to call this number.  So certainly they are spoofing their caller id.  

sounds like another payday loan scam.  They spoof their caller id so appears a local # then leaves this # and wants you to give them your work and home address so they can drop off and file a claim against you .  Anyone who is pursuing you legitimately already has this info.

Just received another threatening phone call from this number at work, after receiving one last week, and one yesterday.  My phone does not ring but suddenly I have a message from Regina stating that I am refusing to take care of this matter (what matter?) and action will be taken.   She gives me a case number and states I must call back or action will be taken.  The phone calls are also coming in on my cell phone with a local number on caller id and the same message left on voicemail.  Yesterday, she stated she needed my address to send the appropriate paperwork.  I didn't call her, I feel it's a scam but it's getting scary because of how insistant she is. Help!

I have had several phone  calls from  this  number. I have let it go  to  vm each time because the messages are extremely similar to calls I had been getting about 2 months ago and those calls were from a payday loan scam. I called the state's attorney then and they said it was a scam and that I shouldn't even answer.

I have gotten calls at home and at work. When she called me she did not say she was from Alliance but then she called my employer and said she was Rebecca Woods from Alliance? I work for a very small company and my boss forwarded the message to me. On the message she was asking to confirm my whereabouts because she needed to deliver a claim to me at my place of business. Should I file a police report?

Yes, you can file a  police   report   if you want because it is an  illegal  scam. Even if it was a legitimate  bill   collector,  under the fair collection law (not sure  of the actual name of the law), it is illegal for a bill collector to threaten legal action.  A few months ago when I spoke to the state's attorney's office(State of Illinois-the one for  the county I live in,)I went ahead and called the company back (I couldn't resist) and told them that I had just spoke to the S.A. office and that they had never heard of  the process server who was supposedly  going to serve me with papers that day if I didn't call them back that day and take care of the matter, nor was there a case against  me in the state (the S.A. office did a search of my name  for me ) , &  that I was told it was a scam and that I shouldn't even bother to call the number back much less give them any type of information
The woman I spoke to got pretty angry with me and informed me that  I would be served by the process server that day  if I didn't take care of it that day. She was unable to tell me what company she was calling for& when I offered to meet the process server at the county courthouse as I had to be there later that day for a traffic ticket, she told me that he was out n the field and she had no way to get a hold of him. I mean really

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.
