888-796-1510 (NRS) National Recovery Service ...is a debt collection service used by many businesses, especially Dr's and hospitals to try to collect deliquent debts. I just ask them when they call (often) if they are just a wee little bit [***]., Or other really stupid questions and never tell them a damm thing, not even who I am. If they ask for someone by name, I ask them who is calling and if I may take a number for that person. Sometimes I think I almost look forward to their calls because I always have a line of [***] ready for them. Needless to say, when they call my number they don't get the responce they are expecting.

This moron called from 888-796-1510 and ask for me and I ask what it was concerning and he would not say so I hung up on them and gave the number a silent ring tone so I can never hear when they call again.

My wife just had this number show up on her phone.    

From what I'm reading above, these guys are no good.

I have security on my own phone which makes it impossible for anyone to call me who isn't pre-authorized and recognized by my phone.   Can't even get to voicemail if you aren't on the approved list!

I suppose it's time to put the same security on my wife's phone and just put the end to the scammers and marketers once and for all!

For all practical reasons this is just another scam with a legal threshold. This is National Recovery Systems or Nationwide Recovery Services or anyone of many many names they decide to use. This is in reguards to an old debt (usually medical bill) that was not  paid by you or your insurance company. The bill in most every case is a type 4-F, which means it has already been written of by the provider with a tax deduction being taken. The account is then "sold" to NRS or some "goons" who try to "milk a dead cow".
In some cases the account is assigned to NRS on a 50% collection basis, with the phone solicitator working from home who stands to make approx 25% of all recovered money and 25% going to NRS which I believe in headquartered in Nashville, TN   They have a least 15-20 different phone number they use.

They called my mom who has full blown Altzheimers at her Altzheimers center.  Left a message with the nite time care givers for a family member to call NRS right back.  When I called no one answered any of the numbers.  If they are a collection agency they are calling the wrong people.  There are no outstanding bills for my mom. I believe this is a scam.  She has been in a center for several years and has no bills but for her care.  Damn scammer crooks!  I too will report them to the Attorney General.

The lady was abrasive and even threatens me demanding I let her talk to my deceased son. He's been gone now 17 months. Not a nice thing to do calls everyday at 3pm

The person who called insisted that I give him my birthday.  I asked, "Who are you"?  He rudely said, " I said, I am with NRS".  I asked who they are and he stated that I would have to give him my birthday to find out.  I just hung up on him.

Got a call from this number 1-888-796-1510 and was asking for my brother and I asked if I could take a message and he said his name was jason jackson and gave me this number listed and with EX. 3445 but he wouldn't tell me what it was about. He got rude when I asked if I could take a message and what this was concerning.Also stated he was not allowed to give out the companies name.  These people need to get real jobs or get locked up for scamming people.

I get calls from this number they say if you are not this person and give a name you answer and they ask for your social security number..... I push ignore

They are now calling me. Did not answer and reported them.

Keep getting calls from this number. Told them to check their notes and refused to give me his name. Wanted my birth date and I refused. I've blocked them several times and they still get through.

I'm on the do not call list. Guess I will call the phone company and see what they can do to help.

I received a call stating there is a warrant for me and giving a # for it.  I called back & the voice mail said it was corporate offices.  I called again & got a live person who answered law offices.  I asked who is this twice. & he hung up on me.

Got a call from them, but because they are not in my contacts I did not answer. Have blocked this number.

This call was legit..I checked. Does medical billing for an ambulance service I used.

They called a relative asking for my spouse, left a file number and was very rude when my relative explained .
