- Lesha AultThey called me threatening court and that I should call them back with my statement and whether or not to proceed with my case. This is the number they called me from 330-863-8424 and this is what they told me to call 888-797-5028 x115 Mrs. Scott. I didn't trust this crap, nor what they are talking about, so I did a search and found them to be a scam. Thank-you everyone!

- tina replies to SashaYes! Thank you for your post!!! You could not be more accurate. Got a call and message today from them. It was an "unknown" number saying that they would give me a chance to issue a statement saying I "would work with them" they are dangerous crooks!!!! Beware
- rita replies to afgThey are frauds, do not give them any personal information! A real debt collection agency will write you a letter.
- IrritatedReceived back to back calls from this number, vm left was dead air. Based on the comments here, I have blocked this number.
- Diana reevesI received a call from this company saying I owed a Payday loan and the company I owed to sold my account to them for collection. I paid one payment and my husband thought the situation was off.. they were very pushy, threatening legal proceedings when I had never once received anything in the mail about this. So we looked up this company and found several disturbing complaints about them. So the next call I received I asked for some written proof that my loan was in fact sold to them before I made anymore payments.. I was then transferred to some other guy that was very rude, wouldn't let me even speak without threatening me of some sort then finally giving me an ultimatum of 30 seconds to comply and pay or he would be sending my file to the district attorney. I hung up the phone.

- Robin replies to Illegal TelemarketerAccording to what I looked up their address is located in Ohio. Grrrrr
- KI got a call from them and was left a voicemail, some guy stated his name and company then a long pause before he continued, scripted message saying he has contacted me before and that i need to call him, one thing they can't threaten you like being arrested or sending documents to district attorney, you can't be arrested for allegedly owing debt.

- SickofScammersWas called by a spoofed local number, who left the 877 number in a voicemail, and identified themselves as ''Advanced Capital Solutions". Man said they needed to get my input on a private matter before moving forward at their client's request. I called the 877 number using an app, and inquired as to the reason for their call. They gave me an extremely unusual name as the person they were trying to reach. I explained no such person was at this number. They responded they would remove my number. Curious what number they were going to remove, I called my cell phone, and found the number was "restricted". So how could they be looking for that person at my ''restricted'' number, let alone remove it from their list?

- BigA replies to Steven SmithThanks, I have now added that link into my report.
You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Everything else you need to know follows including at least two or more federal and state agencies where you should report their criminal activities.
ADVANCED CAPITAL SOLUTIONS INC.
Website lists them in Ohio: https://advancedcapsolutions.com/contact/
However according to their Facebook page, they have an office in Western New York, world’s #1 capital for criminal enterprises pretending to be debt collectors: https://www.facebook.com/advancedcapsolutions/
That might explain the abusive calls. Along with the fact that they are now using an autodialer system: https://www.arbeitsoftware.com/advanced-capital-solutions-case-study/
BBB now gives them no rating after classifying them with an F rating with 50 complaints and 6 negative reviews, and a notation that they routinely violate FDCPA practices plus a the State of Ohio has filed against them as well (note that the BBB removed 23 complaints and 9 negative reviews). It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it. You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified. If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.
First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file complaints with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
