they call me two or three times a day, but I stopped answering after the first time.  I told the caller if I owed money to them they would need to send a bill and that Iwould not give them any information about myself over the phone.

This is the first time I got a message from this number. They had my name correct, they told me I was gooing to be convicted on the message. I have called the FTC and FBI, and reported the cases. there is a scam going around from illegitamte companies trying to get monbey from people. Be sure to ask for everything in writing, and advise them electronic communication is not sufficent, I f you get a call from this number and the person does not tell you who they are, what they are collecting for, and cannot give you anything in wirting consider it illegal and a scam. Report it to the FTC and FBI, or local authorities. BTW, no collection agency, can convict you of any criminall preceding if  you ahve not reseolved a debt and they cannot threaten you with an arrest. If they threaten you with this they are violating several federal laws.

So unprofessional. Apparently, they tried to call me a few minutes ago (went to voice mail of course). They did not bother making their company known or anything. All the voice mail was was a woman saying hello.
    what a scam!

Just got a call from these guys wasting my minutes to get to a real person.  I've had this prepaid cell phone number from Virgin Mobile for almost four years or more now and I STILL get calls like this for debts owed by some Jessica person.  I told all this to the person on the other end immediately after he responded to me and shut him down entirely.  He'd remove my number but somehow I doubt it.

It does no good to report to the FCC because they just send back a letter or an email some six months to a year later saying they didn't think these companies did anything wrong, so don't waste your time.

If these harassing calls continue though I'll be forced to start taking steps to bug them right back.  Since they seem to think I am this Jessica they can try to track her down and charge her when I blare an airhorn at the next call...

Have gotten two calls from them, yesterday and today. Today there was a recording asking if I was "Sherry Murphy", and I am NOT, then it would ask for prompts. "Are you Sherry Murphy, press 1" or "Are you NOT Sherry Murphy, press 2". Yesterday I pressed 2 because I am not that person. Today I get the same call. It is a recording and that is against the law. I am on the Do Not Call registry. I WILL BE reporting on this 'company' or scam or whatever. I encourage everyone who gets a recorded call to register with Do Not Call, and then file complaints EACH and EVERY time you get a call!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be relentless because these jerks who are doing these robocalls and such are certainly relentless. Let's give them something to cry over when the Federal Trade Commission shuts them down!!!!!!

I got a call a day for over a month from a similar number, and contacted a lawyer through the internet - Centennial law offices, and they guy wrote them a letter threatening to sue them for violations of the fair debt collection act... they elected to settle for $1500, and I got half.  I want them to call me again!

And, lo and behold, the calls have started up again for Daisy Choda... Thanks, Daisy, looks like I'm about to get some more spending money!

    Leave Me Alone
This is a debt collection agency, and I called them back asking why they keep calling me.  I have had this phone number for eleven years but keep getting collection calls (from many agencies, not just this one) for someone who has the same last name as I, although I don't know this person.  These calls have been coming in ever since I've had this number, so they must be about a really old debt.

I've asked other agencies why I keep getting these calls.  The answers vary from "Well, this is the number on his credit application" (which made me worry about identity theft), to another who blatantly admitted that they call everyone with similar names or addresses in a particular area trying to find the individual.  I'm not surprised that the answers are so different; bill collectors make up all sorts of things in trying to collect whatever they can.  They are more or less bounty hunters, and the more they collect the greater their commission.  I know this because my sister (may she rest in peace) did this for a living.

They just called me.  My credit is A+ and I have no debts.  I saw the "888" prefix and pressed "Ignore" on my cell phone, which I've had this number for over a year.  Stupid company, doesn't even know who it's calling.
