Got a call at home from a man named Jacob Stearns claiming to be from a Legal Support Services company.  I was instructed to call Gary Stevens at 888-825-8045, with a similar story as what is described above from K&P Legal Services.  I cannot find an attorney named Gary Stevens listed with this phone number I was given.  I am assuming it is part of the same scam described above.  You can add this information to the list.  I will not call back.

this # calls my work now it's hard enough to hang on to a job and for them to call here and bother not only myself but also the receptitionist.  i'm not sure this person is and they won't send me something in person they just want me to give them a CC over the phone.  I am not doing that again how can i stop these calls...i don't want to look my job.

I was also called and asked if someone would be home between 8 and 4pm and told that i would have to reschedule but they gave me a case number! i was told to call Michael Fallen with Klien and Associates at 888-825-8045. no one ever showed up with papers and if they did, they didn't leave a notice!!! i guess i'll take my Failure to Appear! thanks RPS!!! ;)

These [***] never wrote me anything or called and then they just get my payroll check .Like in this economy i couldn't have talked to the judge.Twenty percent is a lot and now i have to pay to get an attorney or something to see if they can make it less i have 2kids and my wife is mad because we were not married when i first opened this credit card.DO anyone know if they can take a garnishment out from before i got married?I mean my wife stays home so that her income too and if anyone can help me i would appreciate a post i cant afford an attorney and i cant afford what they are taking from my checks.When somebody served me on this i was on my lunch break so they signed it and i really thought if i didnt sign it they couldnt still see it thru the court date so i never showed up thinking i could save some more time but i guess not.It was only a credit card i  never bought a lot on it.I just lost my job 4 years ago for almost a year so i didnt pay anyone else either and they didnt do anything.PLease help

Yes I got the same phone call yesterday and decided to take a failure to appear as well.... I was told that I was being sued by a bank I didnt even have account at. They wanted me to call this number and give them the case number I was provided and was told that If they didnt serve me with papers in 4 hours that It was going to be a failure to appear.

I got a call yesterday from someone from a company called "Reliable".  They told me they were a process server and if I didn't call Michael Falyn at 888 827-8045 before 4:30 yesterday they would serve me at work.  I tried to call and kept getting someones home phone!

They called my work and said I have till noon today to call Michael Lewis at Klein & Assoc. at 888 825-8045 before noon or I would be served at work.  I cannot get ahold of anyone and I can't find the case # I was given at the court system.

I think this is a scam, but I don't know!  Anyone know?

I just received a message from these people  5/19/2011.  I called them back...........first they had my social security number wrong.   Then they claimed OOPS..........they just read it wrong.   They also claimed that a summons for court had been sent to me.  I am home 24/7 as I am disabled.  Nothing has ever been sent here.  When I questioned them about what the summons was for, they refused to say..........unless I gave them my social security number.

Remember everyone................if they can call you................they should have your address to mail you something.......anything.

I just got a call at work from a women saying she was a legal processor from RPS.  Said I needed to call John Wilson as he was the person who signed off on my case.  888-825-8034.  Gave me a claim number.  Said something about coming to serve me I was being sued.  Said she was holding it for 4 hours to hear back from somone on what I was going to do.

I got a call from Wiliam Green who said he was a process server and that he tried to serve me at home and needed to reschedule since no one was at home. He said that I was involoved in a civil suit from Stein $ Associates.  a Gary Stevens attorney signed off on it.  I verified his call back # was 714-367-5863 and that Garys # was 888-825-8045.  I got a recording on the 888# so I called Willam back and got the voicemail of someone else.  I pressed 0 for the operator and she answered Klein & Asso. and said that Gary was her file room clerk. She asked for my name and asked me to hold while she researched the case.  I got tired of holding and hung up.  I called back and got the same lady Alissa Levi?  She said it was an old cc debt I owe.  I am calling the credit card compnay she mentioned to verify as well as the FTC if this is listed as a scam or not.

Got the same call from William Green today saying they wanted to serve me and wanted to do it at my home and not my work.  They called my work number.   Gave a so called case number that is not listed with any court clerks that I can find.  Gave the number 888-825-8045 for a call back and to talk to a Gary Stevens to reschedule....  The last I heard it is against the law to threaten unless you follow thru with what you say.  Have turned them into the Florida State Attorneys office.

I received a call the other day stating that I had to call 888-825-8045 within 2 hours , when I called and spoke to  a Mr Martinez he told me it was for a debt that I had no idea what for and that he wanted $500 for legal fees and only wanted a credit card, To me this seems a little odd.

can these people garnish from your paycheck? is this a scam, what happens if they do send you serving papers. from what i hear this is not leagl court?

Your wages cab be garnished for child support and for student loans in every single state,but not in every state for various other reasons(credit card,foreclosure, repossessed car).
So if you are worried about a creditor other than our government you have to check state by state on the laws that apply.
I was a paralegal which is like what a nurse is to a doctor.So I am not an attorney but I am versed in this area and after an auto accident I lost my job and I was contacted by this firm via a court date.
I have to say it is wishful thinking that this is a scam.
I got stuck paying a bill they were handling for a collection agency i did however negotiate prior to court so i did not get stuck paying the court and attorney's fees.I am working now and i live in Arizona so i know that they can garnish my wages once they place the judgement and i don't want to risk that happening again.Just an FYI
