Someone called claiming to be my grandson.  He said he had been in an accident and was being held by the police.  Asked me to call his attorney, by the name of Walter Sterling. The number he gave me was 888 827 9031.  I called the number and the man that answered said he was Dillon's attorney.  I asked him what "What is the name of your law firm," and he hung up.

Some man called my mother stating that he was the attorney for a relative and asked her to call Walter Sterling at the number listed. My mother then contacted me about the call and I called Sterling. When I questioned him on who the alleged defendant was and his first name he abruptly hung up

The exact same thing happened to me this morning, but I did not make the call.  I knew it was a scam.  Did you report it to anyone else?

Gotcall about my son who they said was arrested and being held in newark nj on $9700 bail. Told me to call walter stirling which i presume scan since son was home at the time.
