- David| 11 repliesDoes anyone have any info on this 888-827-9369 number?
- Tina replies to David| 2 repliesI don't know what the number goes to, but I just got a gift card to Target in the mail, and that is the phone number listed on the letter. I called it and they said it was from my credit card company...Chase. ???
- Joe replies to Tina| 1 replyI got a gift card in the mail today also. I was worried about someone opening a credit card in my name.
- Jeannie replies to JoeI also received a Target Gift Card with a "packing slip". I am suspicious by nature and have been unable to find out who/why I would have received this--it was unsolicited and I did not receive a phone call from 800-827-9369 but that is the number "for return authorization".
- Dianne| 1 replyI also received a letter with the same return address and phone number. It's a complimentary companion voucher. I am quite skeptical. They have both my address and phone number. Who are these people?
- Rebel replies to DianneI just got the same complimentary companion ticket in the mail. I called Chase, but they knew nothing about it. The offer also had my addy and phone number and was also unsolicited. But so far there have not been any unauthorized activity on my credit cards. I am going to get one of my free credit reports to be safe, then call my state Attorney General's office to see if they know anything about it.
Its also unusual because I took myself of the mailing lists and calling lists through the opt out features. - DarrenI had the same thing: random $25 gift card from "Rewards Headquarters" with the same customre care phone number. I call the number. They referred me to Chase, where I have a credit card. Chase informed me the gift card was part of a promotion. If you spent enough money during a certain timeframe, you received a gift card. Case closed.
- Nia| 1 replyI received a companion voucher also from the Card Services in Fenton, Mo-it says thanks for using your debit/visa card-I do have a Sony Visa(Funded by Chase) but is not a debit card. The Packing slip says I ordered a carton of 100 w/a container and order number. I have been getting emails from BofA and US Bank and Wamu saying they must verify my identity before logging into my on-line acct-I don't bank with any of these guys. I did fill out an offer on-line after receiving an offer by mailfor a platinum Visa for up to $30K credit, it's been two weeks and have not heard from them. I work for a group of car thief bosses at Enterprise-Rent-A-Car in Culver City, CA-who I think is using employee Identity to get money to buy cars wholesale and then resell them. Though we don't have much work-they keep hiring new people--I think to steal their profiles.

I was skeptical all along, and have not responded to this, since it does not even reference the credit card name or number that it says it is in reference too...
Please be aware, since there are so many scams out there.
They obviously get our info from somewhere, but where, is the question...
we could all probably list the companies that we subscribe too... and we would eventually find the "culpurate" that sells our information..
But please be smart and think before you give out anymore information then they already have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - janeit is not a scam. I received a home depot gift card$25.00, I called the number and confirmed with them, this gift card is from chase credit card. I remembered I was told about a home depot gift card when I open my account with chase.
- LegitimateReward Headquarters mentioned here in this thread is one of / the company that runs Chase's rewards program. I have a Chase Freedom Card and Chase Freedom Business Card, and my rewards checks always come from the place you have mentioned here (Fenton, MO). The envelope is always plain white with just a return address probably so people won't try to steal it if it looks like junk. Everything I have gotten from these folks is the real deal and legitmate stuff I was expecting from Chase. Good luck!
- RR| 1 replyI received a $50 Starbucks card. I don't have a Chase credit card, nor have I signed up for any cards recently. Hm...
- concerned replies to RRI received a "Packing Slip" dated 1-16-09 with an order number, container number, wave number and carton size: 100 listed in the upper right hand corner of the sheet; from Card Services 1299 North Highway Dr., Fenton, MO 63099. The Ship To: address and the Sold To: address and the Contact Phone: is mine. There's a QTY (of 1), Item#, Location and Description Columns with numbers that mean nothing to me. The Description is Propco Companion Ticket with a SKU#. Below this information it says " Here is your free gift. Thank you for using your credit/debit card." There's also a barcode at the bottom in a section for Returned Items. When I called the phone number listed in the box that says "Please check the contents of this carton immediately and report any discrepancy or damage to Customer Service. All damage must be reported within 24 hours. For return authorization call 1-888-827-9369;" the recording said I had reached Reward Headquarters and their office was closed at that time. Incidentally, there was nothing else in the envelope! I will continue to pursue the origin of this mailing.
- bob k replies to David| 5 repliesI received an unsolicited check for $1,250 stating I requested my Rewards Check and Payable through JP Morgan Chase, I did not request this check. Not sure what I'm agreeing to when I cash this check and I am not going to find out the hard way. I'll check back if Chase knows anything about this.
- Tim E replies to NiaThis is a processing place for credit card rewards points. For instance we had gone onto our USBank account and realized we had rewards points. We ended up using the points on a gift card for a clothing store.
I would maybe suspect that people that have rewards points and do not use them quite possibly could be getting the Target cards as most states have a Target and it could be a way of allowing you to collect on expireing rewards or even bonus events for using your card during a promotion that you could very easily have missed the paper work on.... I wouldnt put my life on the line saying that is what it is, but its a decent guess.. - J.Z.| 3 repliesI just received a packing slip with a $25 Target gift card from this same place, "Card Services" in Fenton, MO. This is, if I recall, also the place that services Chase credit card rewards; I've received rewards from them before. I called Chase to find out if this was above board and they said it was a reward for spending $750 in the last quarter of 2008.
For those of you who don't have Chase cards, I'm wondering if it's for other cards as well. For example, I know certain card companies run promotions like ... "spend $400 in two months at such-and-such mall on such-and-such a card, and get a $50 gift card." There was a promotion like this at my local mall with Discover card recently. I wonder if various different card companies perhaps contract their rewards services out to the same places. - Madre replies to bob kThis is the second check I have received unsolicited ... first one for $50 and now one for $200. It is paid through Chase Bank and is signed by the Executive Vice President of Customer Experience, Deb Walden. It also says thanks me for participating in the Free Cash Rewards program. I did not request eighter of these checks and there is no phone number to call.
- KA replies to J.Z.This one is legitimate -- badly handled, but real. After reading prior posts, I was reminded that I did indeed respond to a promotion for spending over a certain amount with your Chase card during certain months in late 2008 by choosing a Target Gift Card from a list of several reward options. That was months ago and I promptly forgot about it because I never expected to reach the threshold.
I have worked for a competing incentives company and can verify that many different companies do indeed contract out their marketing reward/rebate/incentive/promotion programs to a handful of service providers, but this was a pretty dumb way to finish it -- the client company should have gotten obvious credit for the reward and reinforced advertising by having their name and a brief description of the promotion somewhere on the reward carrier or an inserted page with the customer service phone number. The only reasons not to would be that the service provider company was incapable of customizing the delivery or the client company would not pay for customization. Instead this anonymous-looking delivery has the opposite of the intended effect -- it drives suspicion in the current climate of identity theft causing consumers to reject the "reward". - Crysta replies to J.Z.| 1 replyI received the same notice from Reward Headquarters 1299 North Highway Dr., Fenton, MO 63099. It states that I've received an Amazon.com $25 gift certificate, however, there is no redeem code. I've called Amazon and they told me to call Chase (credit card company) I've called Chase and they said to call Amazon. Has anyone found out any information on this address? I am puzzled.
- Bob| 1 replyI did not receive a phone call, but I did receive a "Bonus Bucks Coupon" along with a "Packing Slip" mailed on 04/09/2009 from "Reward Headquarters" in "Fenton, MO 63099" to my home address. The "packing Slip" from "Card Services" gives this phone number (1-888-827-9369) to call for "return authorization" and contains the following message/statment: "Here is your free gift Thank you for using your credit/debit card." The "Bonus Bucks Coupon" is for $100 towared 2 night paid stay at a Marriott hotel/resort, with an expiration date of 1-DEC-2009. I do have credit cards, both with BoA and Chase, and make regular considerable use of them, and they have provided other unsolicited/unexpected promotional benefits to me in the past. All of the personal identification information (full name, address, contact phone number) of these documents is accurate. I've read everyting on both sides of the coupon and sheet of paper, and found nothing of a suspicious or hidden catch/commitment nature; it all seem legitimate and there's no basis for me to mistrust it, other than receiving it unexpectedly. I will contact my credit card companies to verify, but I'm inclined to think it's indeed a bonafide promotion gift. (I just wanted to offer my information to others, as I found this website via simple Google search and found its information helpful in reassuring me; thanks!)
