Aggressive fraud, poses as debt collector. Told ME my social security number, demanding payment for a credit card I've never had. Became extremely hostile when I told him I'd never had a Discover card.

Have placed their number on block, but they started calling from a new number. All calls have used a recorded message which asks for you to call back a toll free number. When I put the first number on block (a Colorado Springs, CO area code), they called back 2 days later with a Denver area code. Both calls used different toll free call back numbers. I only called them back the first time because it made no sense, the guy gave his name as Randy W. and the company as Halsted Financial Services.

Caller ID: showed "HSF" both times
From 720-452-2338 with return call to 866-744-5641.
From 719-355-8988 with return call to 888-841-7048.

Be careful. These guys had my social security number and a married name I haven't used in nearly 10 years, who knows what else they have or use. DO NOT CALL them.

Yup!  I just checked the voicemails on my cell and had THREE messages from these scammers.  They said the same things to me as they did to the other that have posted here.  File number was always the same, but each time I was given a different number to call them back at.  The first message, their call back number was: 888-841-7048.  Second message, the number to call them back was: 866-938-2427.  The 3rd and 4th messages had the same call back number (but different from the first 2!): 866-744-5641.  They constantly have to change their numbers in that people won't catch on, because they KNOW people will wonder what the number is and will post it on sites like these. SCAM SCAM SCAM.  Earlier this year I received a phone call saying I owed an overdue payday loan and that if I didn't pay, which was to WIRE them the money, that they would contact the local Police Dept and have a warrant put out for my arrest.  This is getting so ridiculous people!  What a bunch of SCUMBAGS these people are!!  Get a freakin life, and a REAL job!  

My call came from 480-223-9084 requesting I call the same 888 number listed in all previous comments. I've turned this over to my local Attorney General and contacted the BBB. I plan to keep this number in my phone in case it's needed for further potential prosecution. A reverse showed this 480 # to be a landline, but no other information was available.
