I get about 5 calls per day from 888-845-0146. All of them are from a computerized auto-dialer. As far as I can tell, they're in flagrant violation of the USA Federal Do-Not-Call Act.

Six phone calls in one afternoon.  I finally picked up and told them not to call me again.

They called me on a SAT. Morning at 8:20 am!! Then about two hours later I got another call from that damn 307-764-8799 number.

Automated calls from 888-845-0146 off and on for about six months.  Couldn't understand who they wanted at first but it wasn't me.  They wanted person who used to have my telephone number.  Push number 4 if person isn't who they want.  Keep pushing number 4.  New recording yesterday.  They want a name I can understand this time and it's still not me.  Pushed number 4 again.  These people are in violation of Texas laws regarding debt collection but attorney general's office won't do anything.  I have turned in others.  Neither will Federal Trade Commission.  That's why they do it.

Calls about a debt owed by one with a simular name that no longer lives at my address and hasn't for the last 15 years. Explained that I am not the person they seek yet they continue to call off and on plus send debt notices in the mail.

Why are they calling me all the time?? I've a clear credit history, not even a late fee. If it's a collection agency number, I'm so surprised!!

Account has been satisfied and company needs to research with Sprint. The account was paid and will send another copy of cancelled check. This is harrasement not business.

This company called and asked for someone that has the same last name as mine. I told them that person did not live there, this was not his number and I did not know who that person was. They said they would remove the number from their database but they continue to call looking for the same person that I told them was not at that number.

Send the mail back marked "RETURN TO SENDER NOT AT THIS ADDRESS" written over your address. Next time they call pick it up and tell them they are violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. These people think that people are stupid and don't know any better and they will continue to do it as long as you allow them to. I can just about guarantee you that when you show them you have knowledge about what collection agencies and what they can and can't do, they will stop. Tell them you are going to report them and file harassment charges against them if they call you one more time. Keep a log of the dates and times that they call or have called. Documentation is very important.

They are only allowed to call between certain hours and I know that on Saturday the time starts at 9:00 a.m. Report them. Your local phone company can give you a phone number to report harassing phone calls.

These people have called my home repeatedly. I called them back 3 times to remove my number to no avail. I also pressed the automated key 3 other times  to tell them the person they were calling did not live here. I don't even know the person they are trying to reach. Do I have any legal recourse?

I too have received several calls from this number and told them I don't know who the person is that they are trying to contact. They will then continue to ask questions like they don't believe me. I just hang up in frustration.

I called the # back but I was on hold for over 4 min.  I heard of scams where you aer charged $100 a min so I hung up and googled calvary portfolio services.  I has sprint acct over 9 years ago but closed the account and paid everything off.   Why are they calling me?

I used to be a debt collector. Actually, calls can start at 8am regardless of what day it is. If you want more info, go find the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Spells out exactly what can and can't be done. Collectors aren't subject to Do Not Call lists. You can ask them to stop calling though, and they will have to stop. To ensure it, put it in writing and keep a copy.
