Talking about a old Debt from 10 years ago and I get different numbers from where I live and they would leave a message say call 888-845-1317:888-845-2169

They have called me for weeks so last night I decided to sit down and I called them back and hung up as soon as they answered. I did this nonstop for a hour . Finally a woman has the balls to say this is childish and not very professional to keep calling like this . I simply told her If I ever get another call I will do this every night

I get all the time saying the samething that yall have received. I'm working with another company for some bills. Karin who is helping me checked my credit report and she checked about the case number and phone numbers. She told me there was no case number and not to pay attention to it.  When it started I called the number and they said u have to the end of the month to get intouch with them or I would be served and nothing yet. That was over 2 months ago. And now I'm getting the messages again.

I received the same script via text message and was told to contact 844-700-1192. When contacted, they said I had a debt from a credit card that I had back in 2012, and I needed to pay $3000.00 to settle it out of court or pay $900.00 and do a 12 month payment plan for the Credit card issuer not to take me to court. This debt is 10 years old for one and pass the statute of limitations for the state of Texas for two…(4years). They said that I would be served at my house and verified a old address and asked if that was the best place to be served by a uniformed officer, or I would be served at my job. I never received any letter recently trying to notify me of anything, just a text message….don’t sit well with me at all!!!

I got the same message twice call the number back from a blocked phone number won’t give me any information they won’t tell me who they’re looking for they won’t tell me who they are they’re an absolute scam .I blocked them not only that they tried contacting my uncle, my closest friend and a cousin of mine with the same text message so they actually were going by my last name trying to get information which is not happening. I also called my credit report I have no collections I have no outstanding payments for anything .

My daughter received a text stating a case # and to call (844) 544-1922.
Total scammers!! Wow!! How low can scammers get!! Also... when I called the number they request you call, it  answers but it won't allow you to hang up your phone!! Beware!!

If you know they're "Total scammers!!" why did you call them? And how could they prevent you from hanging up your phone?

I received two calls within 5 minutes from a Suzanne Carter with DVS. it was about a file that "has been red flagged and marked for immediate service within the next 24 hours." they said that I or my attorney needed to call and speak to an agent at 1-844-973-0622 with case number 42000812. and that if I fail to respond they will be forced to move forward on a legal matter without my consent. When I called back they refused to give me any information unless I verified who I was. I refused to verify and they said I was listed as a defendant on a civil case in Salt Lake County. I have no pending cases against me. I mentioned to the agent that this was a scam call and he started yelling at me and hung up.

Yes, this is exactly the same message I received.  First a phone call (which I did not answer), and then a text message stating, "This is a message from DVS regarding an open investigation pertaining to "Last Name, First Name", to verify location information.  Please contact the issuer at 844-982-3283 and reference case file 422-00236 to prevent further escalation".  Clearly a scam, and I will be following up and filing a formal complaint the federal agencies that regulate this type of communication that involve threats.

I think that when one party doesn't hang up/release the line, it leaves your line open as well and prevents you from hanging up and or making another outside call etc.  These types of scammer operations have multiple phone lines, so this is what they do to harass you, AND they continue to record you while the line is "open".

Calls can be disconnected from either the calling party or the recipient. Neither can hold a line 'hostage' by not hanging up as long as one of them does hang up.  Some services are just slow to respond and seem like the line is still in use.

Would turning off your phone disconnect the call?

These people call constantly and are now calling family and friends over a 17year old debt I have no idea what to do now   I have reported them to all the right agencies. No they are Texting people also

They would not tell me why they were calling unless I verified my information So I asked what's it in regards to he said mam I give that information until u verify your ss # and birthrate So I said not giving u my personal info until u explain why?Feels like a scam to me the customer rep was upset I didn't blab out my info and hung up on me scam is what I feel
