collection agency, central portfolio control

Called my mobile phone.  I have no debts so no collection agency should be calling me. Must have the wrong number.

Great Lady named Annie From Central Portfolio Control as of 8.19.2013.  If you're ready to pay/settle talk to her and she'll do what she can to help you out.

Sent text message. Claims to be a debt collector, was asking for someone that has never been at this number.
First time to receive a text message instead of a voicemail.

Has been calling and not leaving messages.  Blocked number and then received a text.  Called number in text and they answered with a name only, would not say who there were.  Kept wanting me to verify information, most of which was incorrect.  Told them I would not until I knew who they were and what they were calling about.  They gave me some information that I will be checking out, but should not be receiving calls from a debt collector.

received text message. Said was debt collector from Central Portfolio Control and provided number for me to call. I did not call them.

Received a text message for my boyfriend, who uses my phone number for some deals since his doesn't work for calls, regarding Central Portfolio Control, asking him to call them, with it being "from a licensed bill collector." and left this number.

Same as others; received a text message for me to call a number. Do not have any outstanding debt and seemed fishy having 2 different numbers. I blocked it.

I received a text from this number stating “ We have an important message for you from CPC. This communication is from a licensed bill collector. Please call us at 888-846-6092. I called up and she verified my name and address and she was right, so i also asked if what is CPC and her name, but she refused to tell me her name. All i remember she  was telling , “under Federal Law“ but i hanged up the phone immediately.

received a text from 469-459-1758 telling me to call 888-846-6092 for an important message from CPC.  They claim that CPC is a licensed bill collector, but I have no debt in collection.

Same as all the above comments. Debt blah blah blah! I just blocked the number. It came from 1-319-481-8915 & told me to call 888-846-6092.

Received a text from 612-361-0430 have an important message for you from CPC. Licensed bill collector call 888-846-6092. So annoying

I received a text from 712-340-7791 stating to call 888-846-6092. it also stated that it was from CPC and this communication is from a licensed bill collector. I called and they wanted me to provide personal information in ordfer to varify my idenity. i refused and advised that any furthur communication from them would be considered harrasment.

Texted my number to someone named Desirae.  BS “licensed bill collector”.  Originating # was 319-455-6436.

Sent a text from 402-521-3972 stating "We have an important message for you from CPC.  This communication is from a licensed bill collector.  Please call us at 888-846-6092.".  I have debt in collection and will be blocking both #s.
