Since the solution to your problem was already posted and you seem to have ignored it, I have to wonder why you think that person will be stopping back after almost 6 months to answer you?  Plus, what would be the point if you are not going to take the time to read and learn?

Was sent a text message 646-426-2813 saying they are a licensed bill collector and have a message for me. And to call 888-846-6092. I will not be calling or texting them. I blocked both numbers.

They also sent me a text I believe a professional will send you a letter this is so not cool

No calls or texts bwfore doing same thing as others. I just blocked.

This number called my employer or actually text my supervisor. I will be reporting this as far as I am aware I have no outstanding debt. And I'm pretty sure this is not legal to contact my employer.

I don't have any debt.  I googled both numbers, the 469 one is someone in Texas.  The other is for Central Portfolio Control a debt collector in Minnesota.

I got this text message from a 469 area code:
"(My actual first name), This communication is from a licensed bill collector.  We have an important message for you from CPC.  Please call us at 888-846-6092"

I also found out that on 30 Nov 2021 it will be legal for debt collectors to text & email people, but they must also include info on opting out.

I received a text from 203-872-4445 stating, " We have an important message for you from CPC. This communication is from a licensed bill collector. Please call us at 888-846-6092." I have no debt in collections or any debt at all so I will be blocking this number. Be aware its a scam!

Received the same message from 629-238-4001: (Name) We have an important message for you from CPC.  This communication is from a licensed bill collector.  Please call us at 888-846-6092 kinda shady so I blocked it

So yes the number they’re saying to call back is NOT CPC. According to the website for CPC here is the actual number for anyone in collections with them.

Send me the same text message people are talking about here. I don't think text messaging is a legal way to attempt to collect a debt yet and I've never heard of this company so I'm pretty sure it's fraud

I just received a text message from “Central Portfolio Control” from (612) 778-4181. They urged me to call (888) 846-6092. Subsequent to my laughter (because I do not have a debt with that company), I researched the agency. The 888 number is not listed on that website. IF YOU RECEIVE ANY TYPE OF TEXT MESSAGE (which is ILLEGAL), it’s most likely a scam. DO NOT FALL FOR IT! Thanks for reading.

Central portfolio control is a debt collector. You do not have a debt with them like you would an original creditor. Text messages are not illegal anymore thanks to the last knucklehead that was in the oval office.

I have received many calls for this person and today a text message.  From (612) 778-4181  Claims to be Central Portfolio Control Inc.  Telling me to contact 888-846-6092, or online at centralportfoliocontrol.com using my personal "AGENCY ID: XXXX(a series of letters and numbers.
