Left message saying I was selected in a drawing after submitting a $25,000 entry for a home make over.  They said we registered at any one of several places (shopping malls, etc)

I got the same message today.

Ditto. Have received several identical messages saying our name "was drawn last night."

These people have called several times always with the same message. "Your name was drawn last night in a drawing for a $25,000 home makeover." Same message every time, sometimes Jessica sometimes Jennifer.

I got the same message as Frannie did from someone by the name of Jessica for a $25,000 home makeover and I desperately need it. It's so sad to see these people take advantage of idiots like me!

Not indicate who they are trying to reach. I have ot been yto a movie or mall in some time and never filled out an online form.

Received same message today. I haven't signed up for any make-over. Has anyone returned the call to find out what it is all about?

I received the same message last night--that I'd won a $25,000 home make over.  I don't remember entering but it was supposedly 6 months to a year ago so who would, right?  I called back from a blocked phone.  "Jessica" was in a meeting but will be out in 15 minutes.  If I give my name & # the guy will find my entry.  I'm suspicious of this so didn't give any info.  The number if you do a reverse lookup on it comes back as a telemarketer.  I suspect a phisher.

I did return the phone call - but didn't give any sensitive information.  The didn't seem to know who in my family entered.  The only reason I called back was because I enter prize drawings often - someone has to win these things.  Anyways - a got a guy named Mike and he said that Jennifer had just gone into a meeting.   I asked more about the company and he said it was DirectBuy and he gave me the website to look at www.directbuycares.com/winners.  I can't tell if it's legit.  Here's hoping though.

Received call last week: "This is 'Jessica' from the notification center regarding an entry form you filled out at one of our malls, movie theaters, or (?) in the last 6 months . . . to win a $25,000 home makeover. I have some very good news. Your name was pulled last night."  Then she goes on to give her telephone number to claim my prize.  And I'm not required to do anything to claim my prize(s). (They gave the date of May 2012, which is a bit more than 6 months; try 11 months.) Found out a relative entered our name, wanting to help us out.

They want you to think you have really "WON" something so you will call. I always tell myself "nothing is free". But, I was curious and called the number yesterday. "Michael" took my call; I interrupted him at the beginning of his scripted rehearsed speech and asked what the catch was.

The catch is I did not "WIN" a $25,000 home makeover. The "Gold Key Giveaway" (or Gold Key whatever) is connected to DirectBuy. All I have to do is attend, with my spouse, fiance, or significant other, a 90 minute tour. I am sure it includes a sales pitch to get you to pay out a few thousand dollars to join their "club" and purchase items at discounted prices or wholesale.

I "won" the chance to pull a gold key out of a bucket of keys. If the key opens whatever it is they have there, then we win the $25,000 home makeover.

Supposedly, there are two gifts that we receive regardless of the end result of the 90 minute "tour". A variety of vacation choices such as 2 round trip airline tickets to various places that you can choose ONE, plus a $100 dinner card.

I was told on the phone the trip items were valid for 18 months, but the written information I received says "good for one year".

But even if the key opens the lock and the $25,000 makeover is won. They are a club and for you to use their company to get items for your home, you probably have to buy one of their membership levels.

I just noticed Aleena's and Suzy Q's comment about Jessica. I don't know if she was in a meeting or not, but when I asked to speak to her, "Michael" asked me for my last name and the phone number the message was left at and he would look up the information on Jessica's computer.

Hmmm . . . the voice is named "Jessica" but I bet there is no Jessica working there.

I received the message yesterday asking to call Jessica at 1-888-861-3741, extension 721, the same MO that I  had entered a drawing and we'd won a $25,000 home makeover.  

I have no intention of calling back.

I received the same call. I did register for something but not this. I called back but over the weekend no one answered the phones. So I called again on a weekday. They have a sophisticated phone system, so they want you to think, yet no one answers on the weekends. Jessica never answered, she was unavailable so someone else helped me. They asked me to verify my info and none of it was correct. When I asked where they got the information from, they said my application. I knew then, it was a scam. Do not even return the call. Surely, don't give your personal information.

Checked Secretary of State. Cant find that business in Texas.

I received a call that I had won a $25,000 home makeover as well..... Errr!

I have had 2 calls the same for my $25000 win.  It is a telephone soliciter for Direct Buy to join their club.

Got the same call from Jessica as everyone else. $25,000 home makeover. Someone who actually goes to their meeting, tell us how it goes :)

got several calls from this number from jessica saying our name was pulled last night for $25000 makeover and that we had entered at a shopping mall or other place. we did not, and we will not call back. i want these calls to stop! how can we make them cease?
