They don't double charge...what a ridiculous thing to say. The best advertising Sasktel gets is when wingnuts come on forums and complain because they are being forced to pay their bill. Distancing your company from lunatics is pretty good for business I imagine....oh wait...I also worked in IT for the last 15 years...that's what we're supposed to say on here right? As if anyone cares.

I pay sasktel for a service.  Sasktel rewards me by selling my phone number to disreputable robo callers.  I ask for help and they tell me I have to pay for call display services to access call blocking service.  Then they charge $4.00 to use it.

I put my number on a no call list last year.  I endured the 2 month delay while useless companies got the message that my phone number was off limits.

Too bad telephone services do not work like email, "if you do not want to listen to this message, press 1 on your keypad."

Brent McMunn replies to POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE/SUPPORT
Right On!  Finally someone besides me who feels this way about sasktel.. totally absent of customer service.. I had a cell account for years.. trouble free.. upgraded to a blackberry and let the games begin... I had one technical issue after another, eventually, after days without service I had enough, took my phone into the customer service center to address the issues.. resolved nothing.. they basically told me that if I had not been so cheap and paid the extra for the memory card, I wouldn't be experiencing these failures.. I told her I bought the memory card.. despite me telling her, she continued to dismantle my phone and came to the conclusion that I did indeed have the card, so on to her next [***] line.. fact is though, I was a computer tech for as many years as she was old.. the things she attempted to tell me (and there were many) where complete fabrications of the reality.. I challenged her on it, and at every venue she caved.. eventually, she agreed that my phone had issues, but said they had no more loaner phones, so they couldn't do anything at the time- no service loaners- sasktel?? [***] again! She told me to go to another customer service center an hour down the road, which I did.. got there, and had to start down the exact same road as the first place... got no where.. I didn't sign up to pay bills, it was for a service.. a service I wasn't getting.. eventually it escalated to head office.. there I thought I was making some head way.. would talk to one person who said that yes they indeed had server issues at the time, then the next would tell me that they never experience server issues, i'd get another on that would tell me that they were experiencing a lot of technical issues with the blackberrys, then the next would tell me that I was the only one reporting problems.. months ticked by with no resolve, finally I had enough.. I refused to pay my account until they properly addressed my concerns and resolved... I received the next billing... it was up to $300.. I figured to show good faith i'd send $200.. the moment they got the $200 they took the payment then instantly froze my account.. they also froze my internet account which was separate and paid in full.. they demanded I pay the account in full or they would not restore service.. well, so far as I was concerned, they just declared war.. under the circumstances, they'd never get so much as another single cent out of me EVER!  They of course made a mark on my credit score, but I'm good with that.. I will make every point of telling others about their [***] [***] service where ever I go.. I ended up buying a Virgin phone.. oddly, despite it uses sasktels lines, the service greatly exceeds sasktels and if there is ever an issue, virgin always steps up to the plate immediately and resolves the issue, and further, if they are at fault for something, they will automatically pay for your entire month billing!!!!  Sasktel sucks!! It will catch up to them though... everyone they screw over will never return.. its a province with a very low population.. eventually they'll suffer for their lack of care!  - great post though, you nailed it!

Sasktel is a monopoly and it is the only reason it gets away with the [***] it does!  They have ZERO customer service.. When people sign contracts, the contract goes both ways.. its not one sided where you just pay and pay and pay, the contract is for a service in exchange for money.. if there is no service, then there is no money- plain and simple..  far too much nonsense out of Sasktel to stomach ..they can piss one customer off at a time.. eventually its going to catch up to them.. there are more and more alternatives all the time, and once we leave Sasktel, we'll never come back, nor will we ever have a good thing to report to other- which will generate into further lost dollars for them  & GOOD!

didn't sign a contract to pay bills, it was in lieu of a service.. they fail to provide the service and further refuse to reslove through customer service, then no payment for them- [***] bill collector!

Really? That's funny. I just got a call from that number at Sask Tel harassing me that my bill was past due. When I returned the call the rep apologized stating that I was correct and my bill was actually up to date. Oops! Sorry our mistake....Do Sask Tel rules include harassing long term customers for paying their phone bills? I will soon be ditching this piece of sh*t wanna be telco for good!

I don't like getting calls where I don't know who is calling. Put your business name on the call please.
Also, I was in SaskTel last night and had my phone account checked. He said it would be dealt with on my next billing period. So why am I getting a call on my cell today?
