I hired a lawyer and she is going to deal with it.  Don't mind paying or keep making payments but when it isn't even going to pay off the debt I owe something is wrong there.  Claimed to be a law office but BBB has them listed as a collection agency.

They're a scam. They call with different numbers, different names, same information. I've reported them to the Attorney General and FTC. They've been calling me for a while. They always tell me I have 48 hours or 72 hours to respond, I never do, nothing happens. I've spoken to them before and they were rude and have no way of providing proofs. They don't have any document they can send to you, no address or company information. All they have is probably your bank's name, what city you live in (sometimes they'll refer to your county instead of the city) and your name. They stole your information and try to scam people into paying debt that they don't own. If they did have a debt, they have nothing to do with your debt. You can pay them and none of it will go to your debt. I have also reported them to the local police department.

    Also known as Federal Recoveries.

I am interested in setting up a class action lawsuit against these guys. Seriously, they called my family and even non-family and say that they need to talk to me bc I am going to go to jail for felony check fraud. I will get a lawyer. This is strictly against the FDCPA. The best place to hit a company like this is in the pocket. Anyone else in?

I just received this email from a lawyer:

The company who has been calling you is probably a scammer. There is no evidence that they actually exist, they are most likely criminals who have found your information online. Unless you receive written notification there is no reason to treat them as a real company. They may threaten you to scare you into paying them, but there is nothing they can actually do. Do not give them anything they ask for. File a complaint to your state attorney general's office or go online to ftc.gov and file a complaint there.  Please also contact this new government agency which has been set up to handle consumer complaints.
    http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

You may also file a complaint with the FBI here:
    http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx.
Payday loan sites get hacked on a seemingly regular basis and  scams using info hacked from these sites to collect totally fraudulent loans is common.   They will even know  personal info such as your last four digits of your SSN, DOB, address etc., all taken from the stolen records.    They can even use that info to get even more info on you from personal info sellers like Choicepoint.    Unless you know for sure you owe the money, be very careful about giving them any personal info, especially bank account information (they will clean you out,)  record the calls if legal in your jurisdiction, and demand a mailing  address so you can send them a "cease and desist" letter (see FDCPA Sect 809.)   Since these calls almost usually come from overseas (Via Skype), there isn't much the authorities can do to stop them.  So protect yourself.
Unfortunately there is nothing we can do since they are most likely not a legitimate company and not very much you can do either other than hang up on them. Keep telling them you know they are not real and that they will not get anything from you and are wasting their time. Eventually they will leave you alone when they realize they will not be able to trick you into paying them.  Also, please see this ALERT  from the FBI:
    http://www.ic3.gov/media/2010/101201.aspx

I just got a recorded message from this number....said that someone at this number was in danger of federal check fraud....and gave a list of about 4 companies including Fed Check Processing , Transcontinental , United process arbitrators as scams......I am glad that I pulled this up when I was looking up the number, because I have two children with Autism and don't need to be dealing with these types of calls.....and I do not need to have one of my children answer the phone and not understand what is going on.....Thank you everyone for all this information. If I get another call I will be turning this matter over to the FBI  office in FT. Worth to deal with!

People aren't upset because they are trying to collet the money owed, they are upset because of the tactics used to collect.  First of all, people get loans because they need help just like I did, and you're not always able to pay it back when they want you to.  Yes, their are people who do this intentionally.  But then, their are people like me who have taken paycuts and it becomes difficult to make ends meet.  It's either pay my monthly bills, or pay back the loan.  Well my children, and our home come first.  I am going to make sure they are fed, have a roof over their heads, and etc. before I pay back a loan.  That's just how it is.

I received a call from these people on someone's number, and the ironic thing is that I don't even know the persons number. I heard the voice message and it stated my name and email address. And stated that they needed a statement from me. I called and left a voice message waiting for their callback.

I got a call and they were looking for my Dad and trying to verify his social and collecting on what they contend is a payday loan through Cash Net America.  My dad doesn't have a payday loan through anyone.  I contacted Cash America who own CashNet USA and have verified that Federal Check Processing is a SCAM and has been reported to the FTC.  My next step is to file a complaint with the Attorney General in my state.

The phone number from which they called 4 times in a row was 817-220-7769.

DO NOT confirm ANY information Federal Check Processing gives you.  They are fishing and are not legitimate.
