Said my husband owed a debt and that I to am responsible for it since I married him. Also said that if I didnt pay the debt that he would be served papers to appear in court and wage garnishment would occur. They threatened to garnish all our assets. Said we could pay a lesser amount of $800 if we accepted their offer. If not we would owe over $3000. Was asked for credit card info over the phone, but was not given any actual documentation to verify who or what this debt was.

They left a message on my cellphone for my father to say that they had a complaint against him and he needed to call them back withing the next 48 hours. My cellphone is a company phone and isn't even under my name. HOw would they even get this info?

Called me said they have a complaint aganist me..to call the office in 48 hrs to elmenate court cost....HA! I read my law books on collections. If they can't get a hold of u. it drops off in 7yrs...(at least in some states) don't call back..pretend its a spam mail...sometimes I'm glad I went to law school!!

i also received a similar call from a lady who worked from a clerks office. i then was advised to contact the office taking care of my case. i called 888-893-7010 and was told the very same thing. this all happened 6/1/2012. they told me i was facing a civil suit regarding a checking account from 5 yrs ago! i had forgotten all about this account! needless to say i did contact my old bank and they verified the debt owed at which time i made several phone calls and eventually ended up back at 888-893-7010 at which time i settled for my original balance. these people were friendly and respectful. dealing with this office was nothing like getting calls everyday from collections agencies. wish the rest of you the best of luck in your efforts to resolve your matter.

Guy (said his name was Alan Rhodes) left a message on the answering machine saying that they had a complaint against (My brothers name here)  and he needed to call them back withing the next 48 hours at 888-893-7010. If not contacted, they would have to act in his best interests.  Said to reference a 4 digit case number.  Said they were a law firm or something.  Problem is my brother has never lived here nor was ever associated with my house number that I have had for 18 years.

They called Late afternoon and the caller ID was private caller.

I would like to call and FK with them to see if I could catch them at their game, but then they would have my number.  The only positive post I have seen was from "a. simms" just above.  For all I know, this could be the person who called me to put validity in this number and 'fake' a happy customer or a huge Sucker!  I would think that they should at least given a law firm name that I could match a number to in the phone book.

The message goes, “Hello, this message is intended for (Name Here).  Case number ####. My name is Alan Rhodes(sp?) , I am contacting you in reference to a complaint that has been forwarded to my office. If you wish to discuss pending action being filed against you..you may contact the firm handling your case at 888-893-7010 and please refer to that case file number ####.  It is imperative that [they?] speak with you within the next 48 hours or they may be forced to make a decision without your consent.  Thank you”   BULLLLLLLLL SHITTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!

Any Lawyers out there?  Is this [***] or what?

i myself am an attorney in califonia where this company practices out of. my bother got this same call mid last week. although they are not a law firm, this company does seem to litigate on debt that has not been resolved thru collection efforts. i found 6 cases filed under Full Spectrum as the plaintiff in civil court. i also called their local BBB and they are in fact listed as a legitimate company. my advice is if you know you owe the debt and there is ever any way to resolve the matter out of court, that's going to be your best bet.

my wife and i got a call from a process server leaving this same number to call. This was last Wednesday 6/6/2012. My wife just called me as I am at work and she was served a final demand notice showing we are being sued. So i called the company and I am told this was over a bank account I had 5 years ago that I owed like $300 from an overdraft that was originally $40!!! They say I am facing judgement for almost $1,600.00 and there is now nothing they can do. Can someone give me advise. I went to their website www.fullspectrumlitigation.com and it all matches the paper work I got and appears to be legit. ADVICE PLEASE!!!!!

I get these calls from this number, telling me that I will be served with papers if I don't pay them a certain amount. It goes on consistently for a couple of weeks and then stops after I demand some type of paperwork, saying who they are and what amount they are asking. They continually tell me that they don't have to supply me with this as they can't 'open the sealed court papers to get the information out' but yet, they have tons of infomration on their computer..??? Print a copy for me?

I just got a blocked call on my cell phone and of course ignored it, they left no voicemail...then I get a email from my employer's HR department that I was left a voicemail in their office to contact a legal department, case number and this number to call.

I have told them a couple of time, to send the court summons and have yet to see one!! When I went to the website that they claim I borrowed money from...(a payday loan, which I did not) and there is a huge pop up on their site that says there is a scam going on involving them I called the number they had on the website and reported this. The company saying they do not have any information on me!

Not sure what to do from here other than ignore and wait for the court papers that have been being sent for MONTHS.....??

Any advice?

In reply to your message. This same thing happened to me. Went on for almost 2 months. However 2 weeks ago my HR department did call me in and I had to sign some forms as there was a judgement granted against me and the were awarded a garnishment. I contacted a family attorney and he told me that on a civil matter being held in small claims court that I did NOT have to be served in order to have a case heard. Maybe you can call an attorney and get further advice. Good luck.

I contacted a family attorney and he said if it was my debt pay it if not dont pay it..  I let myself get led on by the losers who write bad blogs about how  they got a call and this and that ..and at the end I had to pay cause it was my debt and I knew it deep inside it was my secret.like everyone else has.I tried to unhook my self not  paying trying to follow the crowd of those whom never pay............ thats why we as a country are so far in to debt that my grandchildren who are 2 yr & 3yrs & their children will still have to pay  back thanks to the Bush family...

Remember that the amount they claim you owe is negotiable. You can negotiate the total amount due, number of payments, and the payment deadline. Once you worked out the payment plan, request it in writing.

This guy calls himself Garcia didn't catch the first name claims they are taking me to court - US Bank overdraft in 2006 - he said he got the garnishment info and I asked "in 2006" he said yes - I said "do you know what year we are in?" then this weak suck hung up - looks like a complete scam I noticed they ran my credit a few days ago 5 years to collect in this state (CA) 7 yrs drops off your credit remember that people don't let these scammers intimidate you

I'm not an expert, but it sounds like they may be violating FDCPA laws. You should try calling 323.937.0400 or check out this website www.consumercounselgroup.com. It's the Law Offices of Amir J. Goldstein. My dad had some issues with a debt collector and they helped him out tremendously. It's worth a shot and you could make some money off it. They offer free legal advice and if you go through the FDCPA statute, you'll find that collection agencies are responsible for paying attorney's fees, so you really have nothing to lose. I'm not trying to promote them or anything, but I know how much of a hassle it is to deal with debt collectors and I was totally relieved to know there was someone who could help when my dad was going through this. Anyway, if you choose not to call, at least check out the website. They offer plenty of resources that you might find helpful.  : )

I just received the a voicemail from this number from a "Michael Douglas" (how original) that he is trying to contact Derrick Dyer who he said may be a relative of Dimitrious Dyer (?) and that he is with the company filing a complaint against Derrick case #6673. He stated that he needs to call back immediately to have this taken care of or the case may be closed without him having a say.

Since I have no idea who either of these people are, I won't be calling back.
