- Rick replies to JustineI call BS on this post
- Reebie replies to Justine| 1 replyYou must work for them and get a cut on the scam.
- Reebie replies to ReebieI meant to reply to Daniel on working for them....not Justine.
Sorry! - Dave-in-Pasadena-CaliforniaDidn't pick up. No message.
- Barry Soetoro replies to evan horowitzYou should report them to the EEOC. In employment contracts, it's illegal to disclose or inquire as to gender. Instead of "boy", they should have offered you a "person". The specification of "from Romania" is evidence of ethnic/regional discrimination, and must be omitted. I hardly need mention that "little" is indicative of either age or height discrimination; both proscribed under Federal law. These people seriously need to update their business model so as to be in harmony with modern thinking.
- stopthejunkcollectors replies to DANIELOh please. You and that other poster, (maybe you're the same person??), are either shills for the scammers or you got totally TAKEN by them. I tend to lean toward shills, since both of you have trouble with your English.

- Anna replies to Justineno way...........you are in on it with them SCAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
- Bill replies to JustineJustine - you are so full of it, you must be a shill for "iTEC ALERT." I'm a computer tech and I can tell you - there's no way for Microsoft to know you have a virus on your computer, it just doesn't work that way. No, what you want us to do is to follow the instructions to go to a certain web site, where YOU will download a virus onto our computers.
You are such a scammer, I hope you die in a fire. - HotinAtlantaDon't answer numbers I don't know. Reading other reports it's obviously a scam as my computer's not even hooked up to the internet so they could not have known anything about it. I let these calls go straight to the fax machine. Great way to cut them off at the pass!!!!

- RBRI received a call from 1 888 893-9341 claiming to be from Microsoft. He said his name was Ronald Miller, but he sounded like he was from South/Southern Asia. I told him I was busy and could not address the issue at the moment. Then I called my son and asked him what he thought. He told me it sounded like phishing and that I should not share any information. The "techie" called back and when I told him what my son said, he got upset and tried to convince me that the call was legitimate. I told him "no thanks" and that I was busy and had to to, so hung up the phone.
- Stay at home Mom| 1 replySaw the caller ID listed call as Toll Free. Once operator came on line I asked her to place me on the do not call list. She explained that she could not because she was not selling anything. Gave me her company's name, website, and phone #. Told me she was calling to help because of high number of reports to Microsoft from my computer. Told me to press the Microsoft key and R then to type something in, which I did, but I pressed enter instead of run and the pop-up box disappeared. From this thread it sounds like they wanted me to run their (malware?) to infect my computer with pop-ups and the like to convince me of the need to use their (free?) product. It's not free on their website. From the start I thought that it was a scam. Don't all the scams come out of New Jersey and Florida? Hope that nothing loaded. She had me tricked for a minute. Her accent was so thick that I had to wonder if she wasn't calling from another country like the Philippines.
- sahm| 1 replyThe caller asked me to type in eventvwr after holding down the (Microsoft windows?) button and the letter "r". No idea what that does. She wanted me to read to her what came up. But, I couldn't. I had to get off the phone right then to deliver a lunch to my daughter at her school. I told her to call later...but I'm pretty sure that she was still talking when I hung up. Almost as though she was pleading with me to stay on the line. I didn't mean to be rude. I just had to go.
- Tamianth replies to Stay at home MomAnd probably was since most of these calls are from India..
- Tamianth replies to sahmThe only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!
