I love the new BUSTED stamp on some of these blog entries!!  I also like the addition of the IP location.  Philippines is BUSTED!!  After 4 attempts to get through to me, they haven't tried since 8/8/14.

Just got the call from them.  LMAO  They tried the scam on me, but funny part is that they called using my wife's ex husbands name as the "registered computer."  LOL  When I get these calls I enjoy having a little fun and wasting some of their time for a change.  When I told him I had a Mac he said "it doesn't matter, your Microsoft computer has been hacked.  LOL  I just play along and keep going back to the start of the conversation, "you say my computer has been hacked?"  Eventually they give up and I feel better that I got the opportunity to waste their time for a change.

I gave the guy a hard time. He asked me to turn the computer on, and that he can help me. My response---GET LOST.

Why would you even trust the anti virus program from somebody selling it to you in a deceptive manner?  If I were you, I would cancel my credit card and also have my computer wiped clean and start over.  I had a call this morning and I accused them of scamming.  They gave me their phone number but that means nothing.  That's how I arrived on this site.  Good luck to you.

Guy called and said he needed to help us with the problem we reported with our computer. I told him this was a scam and that our computer was fine. He said it wasn't then I told him to go to hell. (Little overreaction on my part). I hung up. He continued to call back 5 times in a row. Told him to keep calling because I was keeping track on the caller ID and was calling
the police. He stopped calling.

When the phone rang I said 'Yes?' in an annoyed voice and the caller seemed distracted.. didn't answer right away. Then said he was 'calling from 'ISAC' about my computer'.. I said 'Yeah right' and hung up.  Then looked up 'ISAC'.. and it turns out there is a legit-looking organization called MS-ISAC, but from what I can tell, they don't make unsolicited calls to random people.  The fact this they were calling from the same toll-free number as the 'Microsoft Windows support' scammers suggests they were probably also scammers of some sort.

I just got a call from these jerks.  I know computers and told him bluntly to go to hell.  I know you are just trying to rip people off.  So I am going to try to see if there is anyway to file a formal complaint about this criminal scam because some of my customers have been not only ripped off but left with a mess on their computer after these guys scared them into letting them access their computer.

Great way to deal with him.  I just got a call from these criminals and I know computers extremely well and know this is a total scam.  So I simply told him to go to hell and I know what you are up to.  Next time though I'm going to try and waste as much of his time as I can.  Oh, really, what can I do?  I'm not sure I have microsoft on my computer.  Let me check the manuals, I'll be back in a few minutes while I find them.  Continue on and on as long as he is willing to try and scam me but NEVER EVER let him get access remotely.  Maybe pull the wire and see how he reacts.  Have some fun with a criminal. and I know because I've fixed computers these guys have screwed up.

Called 11:01 am, 7/14/15. NO message left. ID says TOLL FREE CALL

Just noted it also called 7/13/15 6:41 pm. No message left then either.

We do not answer any call not recognized!!!!!  Hung up on this nuisance!!!!  Never ends!!!

The guy said this is a call from Social security.  SS would never call anyone....NEVER
