- Caller: Claimed to be Verizon
- Call type: Telemarketer
- office| 2 repliesThis company has called 100 plus times over several months. We have repeatedly declined their services and asked to be removed from their call list and they continue to call. This is a telemarketing scam unauthorized by Verizon who they claim to be calling on behalf of which is false. Would like to know how to prosecute these repeat offenders who have no respect for others!
- Caller: Telenet Marketing Group

- Yogi| 3 repliesThis guy Foster x119 called me and said he was employed by for Verizon and that I was "red flagged" for paying too much for my phone. I called the number he gave after hours and the message says it's Telmet Marketing group and their website is www.tmg1.net. It's unbelievable this sort of deception can take place in this day and age.

- SuzanGot a call from "Cattoya Clark" (X 108) at "Telnet Marketing Group Inc". The info that showed on caller ID was our company's name & phone number. BIG red flag since we have been had about 15 calls in the last week that ID'S our info. When I answer the phone, I can hear background noise & breathing before they hang up. Today, I just said "hello" & I got the "Calling in behalf of Verizon about your billing" speech. I asked 3 times WHO she was with before she said "Telnet Marketing Group, Inc". I told her I wanted her name, number & said I needed to call Verizon & verify this is not a scam before I would talk to her. She stammered & said she had to ask her supervisor if she could give me that info. After I got it, I called Verizon. Their answer: Verizon does not contracted services out to telemarketing companies. They have had 3 calls today from companies in my area the have been contacted by these people.
Can't wait for them to call me again!- Caller: Telnet Marketing Group, Inc.

- "the bustinator" replies to officei know "someone" (hint hint) who worked for this company and they are full of spit and yes i agree with you for what you are saying. it doesnt make any sense the way they do business. I decided that i wasnt going to continue working for someone who was being very dishonest....and i didnt like that i was giving up my integrity for a small piece of money.
- MISTY replies to Yogi| 7 repliesSame thing...they called here at my office. Repeatedly told me they were with Verizon. If I remember correctly from when I worked for VERIZON it is
illegal in this country to claim to be with an actual phone company when you are not. Name that was given to me was Calandra Smallwood at ext 119. These people are trying to slam your phone service. If you answered any of their question call your phone company immediately and alert them that you DID NOT authorize anyone to switch your phone service. - Misty replies to YogiAlso it IS against the law for them to claim to be from Verizon you can file a complaint with the FCC at the FCC website. http://www.fcc.gov/ I am headed there now.
- PDMCorey Gatling called to save us money on our verizon bundle package. #888-900-1342 x 119, call him anytime between 9-5. I googled his number while speaking to him and discovered the scam. When I asked about it, his response was they are telemarkers for verizon. I told him we weren't interested, have a good day.

- PAR int'lI've had many many calls from these people, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get placed on their do not call list! Do NOT take calls or give out any account information to these people, they will add new svcs to your verizon account! FYI - looks like they all give out same ext 119 (same ext I was given by a James Schnieder)
- Caller: telnet?

- Amy| 1 replyJust received a call from a very nice woman claiming to be from
Verizon. When I googled the number I found this site and my suspicions were verified. I then called Verizon and they said they are not related to TelNet or to that phone number. He said he would make a note about it but that "slamming" has been pretty much discontinued because now all switches have to be verified by an independent third party company according to new laws. So if I were to say "ok" to the TelNet lady, then someone from another company would call to make sure I wanted to switch from Verizon to TelNet. I was glad to hear that at least. I also filed a complaint on them at the FCC website, thanks to the poster who supplied that info (above). - Phone accounts manager replies to AmyI just got a call from "Larry Stanford" with Verizon who had the same callback number 888-900-1342 x119 which I dialed and the message said "Telnet," a marketing service. I kept the guy on hold for 5 min., checked in with him for a couple seconds, then put him back on hold for as long as he would wait. Maybe it will prevent them from making a few extra illegal calls today.
- TELNET replies to MISTY| 6 repliesLADY I USE TO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY AND THEY DONT SWITCH YOUR PHONE SERIVCE AND HELP LOWER YOUR BILL AND RE TERM YOU SERVICE THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE SO YOU GUYS NEED TO GET A GRIP
- Very Angry| 1 replyPlease don't talk to no one from Telnet Marketing Group, they are not Verizon, they will increase your bill and make it 10 times higher then it suppose to be! I talked to a lady named Deloris Brown on of the superviors for Verizon and tlod me she would save me some money, and I lost phone service for two days!! She should be fired. Told me if i had any question that i could call 888-900-1342 ext.119. When i called they answer the phone customer service!!!!!!! Bull@#*^!!!!!!! May 13, 2009
- Caller: Telnet Marketing Group
- Amy replies to Very AngryUPDATE ON MY PREVIOUS POST- I filed a complaint with the FCC on Telnet but as it turns out they ARE an authorized vendor for Verizon. Someone at Verizon just confirmed that (though why most of Verizon's employees aren't privy to that information is ridiculous). I still feel that Telnet should me more honest about who they are and what they do, it is definitely misleading to say they are "from" Verizon. But at least they're not a total scam.
- get a real job replies to TELNET| 5 repliesTHANKS FOR USING ALL CAPS, JERK! WHY DON'T YOU GET A REAL JOB INSTEAD OF WORKING FOR TELEMARKETING SCAMMERS. PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE WHY I KEEP AN AIR HORN NEXT TO MY PHONE!
