These people keep calling and I hit the 1 so I can talk to them and tell them that the person they are looking for "Jan Overstreet"  does not exhist as far as I can tell but has used my home number and others addresses etc to apparantly get credit.

I did find a lawsuit against them with a judgement for $150,000 for violation of the fair dept collection act. The lawyers used for the plaintiff were

By the way trying to get through on that number gets me nowhere.

However here are their other numbers which I was able to get through to and they "said" they would take my number out of the system. I guess I find out if that's true. There was also a class action lawsuit against this company in 2004 and so far that makes two lawsuits if not more.

I got a call from this number. A man on the phone said that all the people from this law firm have brain cancer and will die in this year 2010.

I am receiving a request for Wanda Lust to call 888-900-9749. This makes the 4th time in several days. The number they are calling is my extension for a government office. We have no one by that name nor to my recollection have we ever, ( with a last name like that I would remember).

these clowns keep leaving messages for someone i never heard of. i called them back tried to explain, they got very offensive and nasty so they are no law-firm. so next step to call federal trade commision

I received a phonecall from this number claiming to be a law firm and that I am going to be suid in 26 days for my $2000 CC debt, they were very vague and all had names like "Mr. Johnson". They also moved very quickly and didn't give me details when I asked for them. Are they a legitamate collection agency, or if I go through them to pay will I be scammed? I do owe on a credit card-- they just seemed very odd.

We get an automated message almost every morning asking for a person whose name is similar to our daughters but not the same.  There is no option to say that that person doesn't live here.  The message tells us to call the number 1-888-900-9749.

The voice message said he was calling from Colleen Ann Bergman (I think - actually it sounded like Coleeann Bergman) and gave another phone number to respond to: 888 900 9749 ext 4221. This is a Bill collections. I did a reverse phone number search on White Pages and the indicated caller ID number of 716 635 9550 is listed as: Jonathan P Cawley 415 Lawrence Bell Dr Williamsville, NY 14221 (716) 635-9550 as a General Practice Law office.

However, when I did a reverse search on 800notes,com the number is listed as: Bronson & Migliaccio, LLP 415 Lawrence Bell Dr. Williamsville, NY 14221 888 900-9749   (888) 990-8100

Male caller speaks fast and leaves message on my voicemail stating that they are the Law firm of
"Cauley and Bergman". I told them once before I am not and do not know a Vanessa Pygmy and to
stop calling my cell phone number. They told me they would stop but obviously they are going at it again.
Time to see my lawyer.

who is behind this number?  Are they really Bergann Law firm?

Just received a phone message (I don't pick up if I don't know who is calling) from "law office."  The call was placed from 716-999-7587 but the message said for me to return the call immediately regarding a specified case number -- to call 888-900-9749 and even gave the extension 7587.

I am recently widowed ... wow ... calls like this are so horrible.  But anyway ... I have excellent credit and have attorney friends ... but the thing that gave away this call is that they did not have  MY name .... they were asking for someone else ..... so harassing.  

If they keep calling, I will ask one of my attorney friends for a cease and desist letter.  Thanks so much for someone's earlier post.  Thank you for this website !!!!

I have been receiving calls from this company daily for the past couple of months.  I work graveyard and the call all hours of the day.  Usually 2 or more times in one day.  I answered the phone once and spoke with an individual which I informed him that the party they were trying to reach does not live at my home.  He said I would no longer receive any calls.  Well, I got a call that following morning and they have not stopped.  When I try to contact them with the number they leave, it is bogus.  What can I do???

Thank you all for your posts!  I got the call from "Attorney Cawley's office" and for a person who does not live at our house to call 888-900-9749 x7562.  I will just ignore it, but I sure hope they don't keep calling.

As I was trying to explain to the "VERY RUDE" JERK that answered the phone yesterday and today, but he kept interrupting me and would not let me get a word in, we do not take calls from bill collectors for the employees, per the boss man. You have to call them on their time and not ours, which will be after 4:30 pm eastern time. If you don't have their phone number, that's too bad and not our problem. They need to quit calling here!

keep getting calls from this number (sometime 3 a day) looking for Erin Bertina..I have told them Erin Bertina has never worked at my office, and stop calling me at my office and remove from their database.

Got numberous auto calls for collection against someone other than myself....told to hang up if that's the case....listened anyway to get a call back number....caled Crowley & Berman attorneys supposedly at 888-900-9749....had them check name and number and after the person misunderstood the number 4 times (even though he located the name that the auto dialer had said) he REFUSED to take care of removing my number.....became rude and beligerant....
