Well I got the packet from Global to send to the IRS to start the non-profit. I feel a little better now. At least I am getting somthing for my money I spent so far.
When I was looking for other companies to do the paper work cheeper, I talked to the owner of one who said He had not known of any Foundation that gave grants to For-profit companies, and goverment grants only went to specific projects.
    I'll keep you posted.

In my experience, the salesperson stated that for $7,500 they would search for grants, I gave them $2,000 down with the remainder due when a grant was received.I was told that they had found me a $750,000.00 grant and to obtain it I would have to send them an additional $10,000 (for additional paperwork) to receive it. Originally, when I signed up I was told that there would be no more money required and the $2,000 would cover everything, including the paperwork by them. They sent me the first step, which is sending out requests to companies for this money; the second step, would be more aggressively seeking this money; after this took place I had not heard anything from them for over two months. The only time I ever heard from them, would be when I would call them. They sent me the same paperwork 3 times. When I called Ron, the supervisor, through voicemail, he called me back, leaving a message with his extension. When I called back, he said no RON worked there and asked me what company I was trying to reach.  When I told him Global Business Funding, he said, "Oh, hold one second and after 10 seconds later he got back on the other line saying "sorry, he was Ron, and he was confused about who he was talking to.Ron told me they were BBB accredited and they are not. He said they had been in business for 10 years, but they've only been licensed since 2005 and only started the actual business in 2008. They, also, would only take a check and would not take a credit card.  This company, in my opinion, is a scummy scam company and has done NOTHING to work for me to obtain the grants. I want a refund of the money I sent them.

I, too, received a call from this company.  My representative was Marlon Davis.  He gave the same information that all have listed - 7,500 total with partial up front and the rest ONLY if we received $100,000 and they were going to try for $800,000.  I google-mapped their office and it is a two-story building housing a company that people can use to receive mail, use their desks, use their secretary, etc.  The Suite number (150) is actually the business that loans out desks and secretaries, not Global Business Funding.  This could be legit - just wanted people to know.
We are a non-profit struggling in this economy and would love this to be true but can't seem to find anyone who has had a positive experience with them.  I told Marlon to call me back in a few days when I have had a chance to research their organization.  I don't know what phone number they called from since the call was sent to me from reception but the address was the same others have listed, 10161 Park Run Drive #150 Las Vegas and the phone number he gave me to call back is 877-424-8807.  I asked how they got my number and the representative did a lot of double talk and did not give me a clear answer.  He told me the managers name is Tony.  I wonder if anyone has received any money from them.  I am not willing to try at this point.  Thanks to everyone for your input - it saved us losing money we can't afford to lose.

I was contacted by Martha Betancourt of Global Business Funding, Inc on Dec 2nd with talk of tens of thousands of dollars in grant money for my small business.
In my research I have found several individuals who have sent GBF up-front money and are now asking for a refund.
Seems to me, if GBF was successful most of the time, they would provide a long list of satisfied customers as references.
I for one, would be pleased to have people call me as a reference once I received a large grant.
No references - no money from me. . .

This is my first time funning into this website, THANK GOD it was after i had retained the service other wise i probably would'nt have and i would have lost funding. I signed up with this company January 15, 2008, I just received notification from the Avon Foundation that i am going to be awarded 28,000 dollars in January of 2009. My initial investment was $2,500. The return that i got is a good one even if i needed more, and yes it took 12 months almost but it was well worth it. I cant say that i was not scared when i did this but anything in the business world is an investment and you are not guaranteed returns. In my opinion instead of making a decision based on somebody else's ignorance, pray and follow your dreams. REMEMBER those that LEAVE their DREAMS discourage YOURS. Good luck people.

I am an independant grant writer trained by the the GRANTSMANSHIP center. My charge is $16,000 per grant. PER GRANT not for the year. It is UN-ETHICAL for writers, grant writing firms, attorneys to be paid on commission or on a contingency basis, it is also against the law. It seems to me you all need get educated about grants and how the process works, getting a grant is not easy, it is hard work but it is the most rewarding and best paying job i have ever had!!!! I dont know this so called Global Business Funding, and i dont care to! But it upsets me to hear such negative comments, i dont provide refrences for clients, there is no need to! If someone contacts me or i contact someone i make sure they are educated on grants, or i dont speak to them period! I have worked for Donald Trump, even the Goverment, getting grants for public libarys minorities, i culd just imagine what you wuld say about me, You all need to focus on running your business and making it grow instead of filling up your mind with this BULL! Grants are NOT Guaranteed if they were everyone and their mama would have a grant!!! Buy the book GRANT WRITAING FOR DUMMIES and then POST what you think about grant writers and grant writing firms. If i work on a CHARITABLE contribution its my decision, i do it sometimes if i am working for a non profit, BUT NOT because someone asks me to!

Why would you send anyone to the rip-of report website, they have no credibility just like this website, those complaints do not get investigated to see if they are real, also if you google " better bussiness bureu " you will see that the owner of this website is a wanted criminal. He has extorted every person that has posted on that site saying he is an attorney, he is also wanted for other crimes, People GET A LIFE! Act like adults and not children, i mean being realistic HOW MANY PEOPLE hear what they want to hear?? TOO MANY is the answer. Also the is a complaint agency tey have no knowledge abut any industry at all, they probably dont even have a degree! But yet they give advice of who you should or should not do business with GIVE ME A FUKING BREAK!

I have a non profit organization called Humane Society I retained the service with global business funding out of las vegas, received $50,000 dollars about 7 months after retaining the service my investment was $3750. MY request was 1.5 Million, i would recommend them. The fact is that there is grants. They are mostly reserved for NON PROFITS, Minorities, and Woman. The funding for profit businesses is limited so you do take a chance, i personally thought that this was worth doing. Happy Holidays Guys.

How about an Address and phone number so we can check you out? You could be the proof that all of us has been trying to find, that GBF is not a scam. Thats the problem, no one has yet given proof that its not a scam.
How did you know to look up this site? Why would you look up this site if you got funding? you could be a GBF spy. Like its been said before, any one can post what they want, true or not. What we need is absolute proof and you can shut this thread down once and for all if you let us check you out. So please!, put all are minds at ease and post a way to contact you.
