- Greg replies to IsabelleThis rant doesn't exactly show off any great writing skills. And your use of punctuation shows total ignorance. I will give you an award for being the king of comma splices. "BA in Creative writin and english"? Yeah, right! And you misspelled "writing". I'm sure it's just a typo, but it shows that you don't even bother to proofread your work before submitting it. Is that what your marks...er...clients pay thousands of dollars for? Why can't you provide references? Nobody has anything good to say about you? Quote:"You ALL will be in the same place, doing the same thing do to your closeminded ignorance..." And you will be in the same place doing the same thing because you have a good gig going - sucking thousands out of people for little to nothing.
- Greg replies to EDOops! You already posted this as "Isabelle" and now you're "ED". I guess you didn't see your post show up, so you posted it again. But a problem that scammers have is they lose track of which fake name they were using this time.
- yoeddie replies to Melissa ChavezI think you work for GBF
- yoeddie replies to Juan Mendoza CAYou have no idea what you are talking about, these people are commenting on a single business, not grant writers in general. Most of us never even thought about "your business" until GBF called. Get your head out of your butt. Noone cares about the grant writing industry,. Just being told the TRUTH!!
- yoeddie replies to IsabelleWhat facts? You suck!
- yoeddie replies to EdnaThey got $2625.00 out of me based on grant writing services on my company's behalf in early September. GBF said they found 10 foundations to try and apply for funding. Fine. A few days later I get a call from the Director of Corporate Funding, Parker Wahlman. He said he found someone willing to fund my company with a $600,000.00 grant provided I produce a "business plan on steroids" with 100+ pages describing my company and my plans with grant money. This "plan" was to cost $7500.00 with $5000.00 due up front. The entire transaction was to take about a week. I finally got my business plan 8 weeks later after much calling and finally finding the President of GBF Mickey Gines and emailing him. Then when I get the "plan" it was only 29 pages.
When I complained to Christine Gagnon of National Professional Filing, who have an unsatisfactory BBB rating as it turns out, she said she "only produced what GBF ordered" and she added some fluff to make it 36 pages for the final draft.
I originally offered to do a business plan but Mr. Wahlman said that only specialized business plans that an experienced plan writer knowledgeable with grants could possibly get the funding to be approved.
Like I said I have contacted Mickey Gines through email, and he basically chastised me for not having faith in his company and for trying to find out if his company is legitimate or not. I went to numerous community sites looking for references, good or bad, and found his response to some nasty allegations at the site www.complaintsboard.com.
Supposedly my business plan is on the way to the proper foundation and they also have supposedly identified 14 foundations that are supposed to get letters of intent to see if they will accept a request for proposal.
I also know that GBF moniters the internet for any publicity, and I believe they answer some of these posts as well, because they never respond back when I press for more information.
I just hope they deliver on what they contractually are obligated to do. - yoeddie replies to Leslie PatekWould you agree to a phone call to verify your story?
- David replies to Melissa Chavezithink you are a fool. You are out 2000 and have not recieved the funding. try contacting someone at Avon and see if they have any clue what you are talking about.
- David replies to Juan Mendoza CAYou are totally out of it.
- David replies to AlexFolks, you have more money than brains. don't give this company any money.
- David replies to Leslie Patek| 12 repliesBeware, Leslie Patek is in on the game. No way is this the truth.

I just hope they deliver on what they contractually are obligated to do. - Un-biased Opinion replies to David| 11 repliesWow! You all need to stop believing everything on the internet! I don't work for this company, never will. Did the research for a client of mine and I'm just disgusted by all of you.EVERY business takes an investment. Like it has been said before Grant Writers cost money period. For that small of an investment with the possibilities of a $93k return, $100k minus the $7.5k fee. It's really a no brainer. I told my client to invest in his future and take a chance, after all business is just one big game of chance. I love what was said, let's all grow up and act like adults. People who give up on their dreams like the company and will just discourage you from yours. So, if you want a change DO SOMETHING about it. Will update you on the process so you kids can have a good success story which I whole-heatedly expect!
- yoeddie replies to yoeddieThe Director of Customer Support, RON FRANKS, was rude and confrontational when I was finally able to contact him and try to discuss my issues. He hung up on me. Run away from this company!!!!
- Tod replies to Un-biased OpinionGet off your high horse. What we are looking for is a real company that realy got funding from this or any of these grant finding companies. And will give there name and contact info so we will know this is not a scam or rip off. These grant finders tell you they can get you all this money for $7500. 1/2 up front then after your signed up and invested, they hit you for more money for this or that for addional $6000.00 to $8000.00 before they can go forward and they never mention any of this before you sign up, because they would never get any one to sign up and pay them the 1st $3500.00.
That is shady business practice and sounds like a scam to all of us. Any one can post whatever they want on this fourm and posts like yours just sound like your someone that works for the grant finders to throw us off tract. How about a real name and your business name so we can check you out to see if your who you say you are.
We are the ones that have invested thousands of dollars on a hope that this is not a scam, only to be reamed for even more thousands of dollars for a Business Plan or a Non-Proft Incorpartion set up or lose the 1st
$3500. because we tide there hands.
WE JUST WANT PROOF THAT THIS IS NOT A SCAM. AND IF IT IS THEN THIS FOURM WILL STOP ANY ONE WHO DOES INVSTAGATE THESE GRANT FINDERS FROM LOSS OF THERE MONEY!! - yoeddie replies to Un-biased Opinion| 9 repliesYou are a piece of crap and I know you work for GBF. This company steals money everyday. I am committed to helping others to stay away from GBF. I have already cost them just under $10,000. in potential clients. I am keeping a running tally of how much money I am stopping to go to this BOGUS scam. Please contact me at info@yoeddieinc.com in order to save your business money from these crooks.

- Alex replies to Alex| 1 replyWell I just got a call from GBF. THEY ASKED FOR EVEN MORE MONEY!!! $5000.00 for letter writing, form filing and other crap. And I should get $500,000.00 funding by April. I told them this well is dry and I have no more money to give them and if I don't get my funding because I don't give them money then I will Post all over the INTERNET what a scam they are. They said they will fax me the template and I could fill it out my self but he had not had any successful clients that did that.
