Collection agency. I informed them that they had a wrong number and they keep calling. Harassment.

Can't get their own name right, ,been calling my family trying to dig up more info to use. We contacted DA and there is no case . Won't give me any information without a social number nothing on credit report .. total  scam

Said they were putting a lean on my house.

Called asking for my husband stating he had 24 hours to respond to legal documents sent, or would begin legal proceedings the next day. Name if law firm is confusing as she said it too fast for me to understand. No legal documents ever received.

Never let bullies on the phone confuse extortion with debt collection. Honest debt collectors do not typically send their claims straight to a judge, and they don't take your ransom money to broker quick deals with so-called "process servers". There are no secretive "arbitrators", "assessment specialists", "detectives", "investigators", "mediators", "mitigators", or "prelitigation specialists". They are sweaty double-talking criminals with a script full of coercive remarks. The agents' horrid threats are empty and their conduct is illegal.

Lawful debt collection is a process, not an ambush. Early in that process you must be given a specific notice about your alleged debt and how to dispute it. From there, you have a right to obtain proof of claim *on paper*. Federal law does not expect you to take only the word of strangers on the phone that bad things are about to happen. Do not reward lawbreakers with your money. Challenge them always, sue them if you can.

I have received several calls from an unknown number telling me to call this number.  The last time they called I did not answer the phone so they preceded to call my ex-husband and then his father.  They told my ex-husband that I was being sued and that they were trying to serve me papers.  I googled the name of the so-called law firm that she gave me (Cromwell and Weiss) and the only thing that comes up is that it's a scam.

Got a phone call with the ID saying out of area, so I immediately thought it was a call from overseas which usually only happens to me for something important.  They were looking for someone I know that doesn't live here.  Very creepy!

Contacted my Dad who lived 3 hours away to try to contact me about litigation. What litigation? Left a reference number. Why, if this is legitimate, not just send me a letter. I haven't moved in 11 years!

Hello. I received a voicemail message from 888-733-8348 with a case number 93-00241. He claims that there is a service document that were delivered to my residence. If I do not respond, he stated that I will receive a court order for a collection. It sounded fishy and possibly be a fraudulent. Have you experienced the same? I hope to look to hear from you.
