Rcvd letter in mail from CCD Research, LLC. This is for a free Android Tablet. I'm unsure if this is a scam yet, but something sure does smell fishey.

Also received a letter stating the same thing.  Anybody else get one and call? Know it's a scam but curious as to what they're up to!

Received this letter too and reported to BBB. Seems this scam is one that's already been used in other parts of the country. CCD Research apparently has several similar addresses (small houses around east coast of florida) and 888 #s. Don't respond!

Received letter in the mail this week from CCD Research.  Called and was told they would be getting back to me and I was under no obligation to purchase anything as this was purely a research tool.  I won't be interested after seeing the other posts.  Thank you for this site.

SCAM Just got a letter as above for free Android Tablet Computer. They change names and numbers and addresses and keep on going. If they are this brazen, why can't they catch them and stop them? They obviously prey upon people that are older and don't know how to use the internet to research them.

Recd same letter for free android tablet computer from Patricia Smith CCDvResear h  1356 Holly Ave Holly Hill FL.......Not sure why or what this is about but Thx to all of the above Im ignoring it....scam of sort sort...either to get ph number info, or there's. computer chip somehow going to worm it's way into my files iif i  use that Android.....if it comes, I will let it rot!

Sounds to me that they may be using a loophole in the current laws which basically allows them to continue to do what they do. They are not calling you but are baiting people to call them. Once the recipient of the letter calls them, I believe it's legal for them to try to sell you something since the recipient initiated the call. Best bet is to NOT call the number. Besides, if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

I received same letter, from Patricia Smith at CCD Research LLC. at a Holly Hill address in Florida.

The envelope had a hand applied return address label for Patricia Smith, and looked legitimate.. well played. I was offered the same Android tablet, if I would just try it and send in a form reviewing it.

I came across a link for an article at RipOffReport. This woman was also offered a tablet, but had to attend a 90 minute presentation for a vacation place. She decided to attend it, and got no tablet. They told her to visit another website and download a letter, sign it, etc. They again refused her tablet, because she hadn't sent a copy of her photo ID. Photo ID, as in driver's license?!! She claims she already showed it to them at the presentation, and they took a picture of it. How alarming. She's posted the history and the 5-6 documents on the site. i received same letter in the mail,to participate in  a survey and they send  this to everybody you do not have to be and older person.this letter was from cara langley 1648 taylor rd #464 port orange fl 32128. Thank you for the info.

CCD Research, LLC. They use many different numbers including 888-986-8173.

Google them. They are a scam and rip-off. Better Business Bureau has numerous warnings out about them. They change names a lot. Some have gotten the tablet promised but most don't. And it's a cheap Chinese tablet. You have to sit through a 90 minute promotion to buy a membership into an expensive travel club. Many have gone ahead and gone through the sales pitch and then either were asked to give up their social security number or have their drivers license photo copied. If you refuse (which you should) you don't get the tablet.

The old adage is still true: Nothing is free! Beware of CCD Research, LLC!

Received same thing from Cara Langley, 1648 Taylor Rd., #464, Port Orange, FL  32128.  Code #1214-5141-3677.  Thank all of you for the info.  I will be going to the PO tomorrow and giving what I have received, hopefully, something can be done.  Of course, with the gov't not working, probably nothing will be done.

i am an investigative reporter in orlando and yes i just got that great offer from CCD research. it looks like they have been doing this around the country for awhile. i'm not sure what the hook is yet.
Cara Langley on taylor road doesnt exist.  the package code is odd: 1214-4324-9864
they have key words highlighted in bold black letters.  including free android tablet computer and of course my favorite: no obligation.  they have ny name, address and its signed with a signature that looks like an ekg reading.  laughable at best.  i'll keep u in the loop
