- D Denault replies to DavidWe got a letter with a leaf label and Cara Langley. The letter states that we won 2 airline tickets to any place, but the letterhead had Durham/Raleigh Gifting Department listed.
- dennykochan replies to mholfeld@wkmg.comgot one too here in a suburb of Chicago.
If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is and drop it like a hot potato. Unless, of course, you want to get burned. - Jan Jensen replies to mholfeld@wkmg.comI had an offer code, too I figured as much. Thank you so much. So much for that! They say if it is too good to be true, it probably is. yep!
- DLVReceived letter from Carla Langley, 1648 Taylor Rd, #464, Port Orange, FL 32128 for FREE Android Tablet Computer for completing survey. Knew it was a scam....nothing for free worth keeping.....
- Jenn replies to mholfeld@wkmg.comI received a letter from Cara Langley in Port Orange. She was offering me an 8day/7 night cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lines from a major port un the US.
It states that it's not a timeshare or land sale offer and if I call in the next 72 hrs, I will also receive 2 round-trip airfares. - douglas cephasI received letter also from cara Langley except my prize was a free 8 day 7 night cruise
Onboard Norwegian cruise line. Plus 2 free round trip airplane tickets if I call within 72 hours. - JamesI also received the same letter from Cara Langly, offering a cruise. The kicker, first you have to attend a 90 minute visitation. However that ploy is just a Segway into the real scam, that Smart Travel (NCL) reserves the right to charge a fuel supplement charge if West Texas Immediate Fuel prices rise above $65. Current market WTIF prices are over $91 a barrel. Guess who gets socked with a fuel charge the moment they sign on the dotted line? That's right, anyone who allows themselves to be duped by this con.
Beware!- Caller: Smart Travel
- RobH replies to mholfeld@wkmg.comI received a letter with the same return address label. However, my letter was an offer for a 'free' cruie on Norwegian Cruise Line (no 's'). Same illegible signature as on the 'free tablet' offer letters. The phone number to call listed in the letter I received was: 877-349-1870.
Scam, scam, scam! - TrishI received a letter from "cara langley" offering an 8day/7 night carnival cruise for 2. I'm calling bull****!
Same illegible signature as the others and using phone number 866-396-3279
Nice try a**hole, nice try.... - Mel replies to mholfeld@wkmg.comIt's a scam. The mail comes from a mail house in Port Orange Fl. They do nothing but mailings for Time share companies or Travel Clubs. When things get to hot the owner of the mail house just comes up with another name and mailing address. He has used Patricia Smith also. It is nothing but a scam. I suggest anyone that get's a letter from CCD Research contact the FL Attorney General Office maybe she can put a stop to this company mailing out these letters for these scammers.
