Unknown caller

`Second call from this company today - they are touting tax free bonds. Already informed them we are on the do not call list, yet the guy said the company checked & they could call us. The first call said "caty & co"

Caller ID said Carty & Company.  I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number.  So I checked the area code and found this post on the internet.  Thanks for being there.

Caller ID said Carty & Company.  Sounded like a telemarketer so I asked for his name and phone number so we could call him back.  He said his name was Brandon Kaiser and that he would call us back.  When I googled the corporate name an official web-site for that company never appeared.  When I googled the phone number, I saw all of these posts.  After seeing your responses, it sounds like a scam.  I hate these people that waste our time!!! Thank you guys for posting your findings as well.   It confirms my suspicions that it was just another time-wasting telemarketer.  Ugh!!!!!

Called several times-very annoying

Caller ID said Tennessee.   I did not answer it and they did not leave a message.  3/26/12

They do have a website and look le-git but I still do not want their phone calls.

Something about Mountain State Healthcare in TN. BOGUS call.

They are still at it...Just received a call for my husband would not leave a number or name...would call back "later".  Thanks for all the posts.  I know how to handle the "later" call.

Not only am I on the Do Not Call list, but they called at 8:45 a.m.  Whatever happened to telemarketers not being able to call someone before 9 a.m.? The guy asked if this was me. When I answered yes, I didn't let him get a word in edgewise. I simply stated I was on the DNC list & not only that it wasn't even 9 a.m. Then I said, "Please don't call here again." I said all this in a firm, but not bitchy tone. He simply replied, "O.k. Thank you" and hung up. At least he wasn't a jerk.   We'll see what happens.

Received a call this AM from telemarketer selling muni bonds. Told caller I am on no-call list, but this didn't dissuade him from giving his pitch. Asked him name of his company and how to spell it. He spelled it out and I hung up.

Calls numerous times daily and ask for employees that left the company 8 years ago.  Very annoying.....

It's a sales pitch for bonds. The guy starts out by saying, "We talked last year and I am getting back to you about a good tax-free bond." He pretends to know you and assumes a familiarity that is a clear signal that  he is cold-calling.

Carty & Company called at 10am on the 18th, how do these people get your name when your on the DO NOT CALL list?

Jacob Crowell called this a.m. Did not mention co he was representing -- trying to sell a tax free investment  paying 4 percent.  Found name Carty & Co on CID.  Our phone is on the No Call  List.

Got me this morning and tried to interest me in local hospital bonds.  They got my name by referencing local boards of directors and Chamber of Commerce lists.  They simply join the Chamber or other group and then have access to the membership list.  Boards of Directors are public knowledge.  Polite young man and kudos for being very creative in his cold calling, but I wasn't interested and told him so.  I don't expect more calls but their website seems above board so a call to them to remove me from a phone list should suffice if it's needed.

A guy called wanting to sell securities over the phone.  

PEOPLE THEY ARE BROKER THEY GET UP GO TO WORK BUST THEY BUTTS AND TRY TO PROVIDE FOR THEIR FAMILY JUST LIKE MOST WORKING PEOPLE. NOT ONLY THAT THEY ARE RUDELY TALK TO WHILE TRYING TO HELP PEOPLE WITH THEIR FINANCIAL. THESE BROKER/AGENT HAVE TO PASS A SERIES 7 AND SERIES 63  LICENSE WHICH IS NOT EASY ASK SOMEONE WHO TRIED TO PASS ONE. PLEASE DO NOT DEGRADE THEM BY TELLING PEOPLE THEY  ARE TELEMARKETER. THEY ARE LICENSE SEC BROKER.
