- rose| 2 repliesI received a call from this number and the guy is kind of harassing me for a law suit filed against me and I need to hire an attorney. While I know there is no law suit or anything against me. I think it is a scam and hope he stops calling me, otherwise I will find away to kick his ass pretty bad.
- Caller: RIALTO CA
- JerryI received a call as well saying that I need to contact him in regards to a law suit. It sounded scripted and his accent didn't allow me to understand his name. Usually if you get served, you receive it by mail and not a phone call. So I'm guessing it's a scam.
- CWG40Indian scam artist. Accent so thick you could cut it with a knife. You can hear Hindi voices in the background. It's nothing but a call center in India trying to scam Americans--or anybody they can get a hold of. Ignore these people and block their calls. They seem to be working out of spoofed California area codes for some reason.

- jason williams| 2 repliesThis number 909 271 8377 called and said I owed the IRS $4500 because of a mistake in my 2009 Tax information. They wanted payment via a "voucher" which turned out to be a Money Pak card. When I pressed them for an address they quickly terminated the call so I can only assume that it is a SCAM
- us treasury from Rialto. yeah right. replies to jason williamsI called the number back as I too felt like it was a scam. I told them I was called and was to call this number back to get more information but I was thinking this was a scam they said OK thank you and hung up.
- Scam CallerThis person called me too. He said his name was Shawn Temple and gave me this number to call. East Indian accent. He did not give an institution name, just said I was to call Dept. of Legal Affairs or have my attorney call. Forget it.
- Anna M.| 3 repliesThis guy claims to be from the Dept of Legal Affairs and says his name is Kevin Green. Heavy Indian accent and a lot of chatter in the background. He asked for my husband by name and claimed this was regarding legal action that had been started against him. When I asked him what company he was with he said "Dept of Legal affairs" and I repeated my question and then asked what country he was in and he replied "California." I reminded him California was a state not a country and became very agitated and said his name was Kevin Green with the Dept of Legal Affairs and I told him he had already said that and recommended he skip ahead a few lines on his script. He said, "You will let me speak!" I said, "No, I will not let you speak" and hung up on him. Then I called the number myself to see if it was a business and the same guy answered. He said he was with the "US Treasury" and I asked him why a public building would have an unidentified number. Then I asked him what the address of the Treasury was and he said, "I will not give you my address." I hung up and called the police non-emergency line who reported that they have received several complaints about this scammer calling people In the Seattle/Eastside area and becoming threatening in several cases.
- Caller: "Dept of Legal Affairs, US Treasury"
- FrankSo some dude called claiming he was from the US treasury, and the IRS, totally bogus as both are separate entities and do not file anything jointly. Dude is lying. Just hang up and call the Police non emergency number. Report it so they can get to the bottom of this.
- Caller: Dept of Legal Affairs US Treasury
- Ryan MGot the same call from Kevin Green today. Local PD gave me the number to the Sate Dept of Justice.

- RoscoI just received a phone call on my answer machine. The mans name was Sean Temple, from Legal Affairs. He said he was calling to notify me of a legal actions which has been started in my name. He had a strong accent. He mispronounced my name badly. He had a hard time pronouncing the number 9 (ni) and the number three (tree). I had a hard time understanding him. I felt that the accent could have been Middle Eastern or possibly Eastern European. He suggested I have my attorney call him back to avoid a legal mess. He finished with "Have a nice day & God bless". Smelled like a big scam to me, so I began to search the phone number to which I was to call him back at (909) 271-8377. Sure enough, I have read more than enough to rest my case. This is a scam.

- Merlin| 1 replyI was called multiple times with a caller that delivered the same message. He claimed he was an officer named James Scott, and that there was a warrant out for my arrest, and that if nothing is done, officers will be at my home the next day at 11 AM to arrest me for 21 days. After that, in legal court, if I was proven guilty of whatever I did, I would be sent to prison for 6 months, and if after that, no attorney had been filed, the prison sentence will be extended to 18 months, and a fine must be paid with a total of $80,000. When I asked for details, he gave me a California address, where I do not live near, and a fake officer name and badge number, which I verified with that city's police department. The caller had a Middle Eastern accent, and was aggressive in trying to obtain my details to hire an attorney. He claimed he was from the Department of Legal Affairs from the United States Treasury.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. - Lizzy replies to Anna M.Hello there I received the same exact call from the same guy, he left me a message on Wed the 22 basically threatening to start legal action against my name. I called back and the voice mail box said I had contacted the US Treasury him back today and lord and behold the same India guy answered after I told him he was a scammer he got so very upset. He said within 25 min a police officer would be at my door to hand over all the info I needed to begin the process of legal action. As I mentioned to him he was a fake and that I knew the US Treasury does not work this way he told me to call Obama or Bush was very upset that I had caught him in his scam that he became very vulgar. I hope no one gets caught in the scam this guy is in. Have since called my local authorities and the real US State Dept. I am from Northern Nevada.
- babybecker1 replies to jason williamsI received the same EXACT call! This is crazy. I tried calling the SCAM hotline at IRS. This is horrible.
- Cris C.Left a message for my mom, very sketchy/scripted sounding message. Disclosing sensitive information pertaining to legal action, basically same script everyone here has received. Probably pointless to call back.
