909-666-8940

Someone called me from this number saying that I am being suied because of a loan of 500.00.My credit is so bad that I can not be approved for a Loan. They told me that I can only pay by cashiers check.

This number did not call me but, sent an email stating that I will be sued by this firm. This phone number 909-666-8940 and 415-935-7085 are the same company. American Law Firm or Offices. The name of the 2 individuals are:
909-666-8940 is Jessica Lawson
415-935-7085 - Steve Matas
Both their emails were sent and went to the Spam emails. I gave their numbers to our local police and District Attorney's Office and BBB. FTC and FBI. Do not give any money or personal information. Ask the following:
1. Company Legal Name
2. Address and phone number
3. Copy of any paper work that is signed by you. How much the amount is.
Always demand for all of this papers.

Some Tips:
*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time,date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

Ok so I've received multiple emails from these scammers!  How do I get it to stop?

They said I took out a loan for 500 in November and they couldn't get the year right. They left me two of the exact same voicemails saying it was the third time they were calling me. But I was barely 18 with no credit card so how could I take out a loan? Then I owed them 840 dollars? Sounded stupid
