Not true - donated yesterday. Got a call today :(

Go to the Red Cross website and set-up a profile.  Then put in the profile that they do not have permission to call you.  They want everyone to always have a donation scheduled.  Immediately after a donation they ask you to schedule your next one.  But they will stop if you put that in your profile.

I'm a regular donor.  My last donation was lifetime #127.  But I made them stop calling me after they called while there was a confirmed tornado on the ground less than 10 miles from my house.

And please, donate if you are eligible.  Sick and injured people need your blood.

Received the call with no VM like everyone else. Went online to this site and saw that it was the Red Cross. Called them back to ask why they called since I got no VM. They said it was to thank me for my most recent donation and to say happy holidays. I asked them about why they normally call and the lady mentioned it would be for either a thank you or to ask for more donations. I explained kindly to her that I don't pick up unknown numbers and the best form of contact where they can ACTUALLY reach me is email. She gladly made the change on the spot. Let's see if it holds up and I don't get anymore calls.

I agree they also make me wish I never gave on a regular basis.  The worst of it is they call so many times It feels like harassment.  The last time giving blood, a couple did not change their appts came in drunk and hung over and the Red Cross still drew their blood.  I was disgusted.  Never gave again said when ready i would call them obviously that did not work they keep calling 3 to 4 times a day.

I received a call, no msg.  I didn't answer,, figuring just another robo-call.  Red Cross again, using a different number than the one that was used to call me so many times in the past.  I gave blood recently... and now, it starts with this constant calling.  Who told the Red Cross this was a nice way to reach out for donations?  As most have advised, it's more a turn off, a pain, a nuisance.  How about, just a nice thank you via e-mail or or phone ;and say they hope you come again soon and not continue with the constant, anonymous phone calling type of harassment.
