al number call and say; this is SHASE BANK... but is same company.

This number has been calling no less than 12 times per day. No message is ever left. If this is Chase-they have no reason to call me (no accounts connected to Chase in anyway) and I am on the do not call list.

As I look at a previous post. The number from Ohio also calls several times per day, leaving no message. This has been going on for over one month.

I get calls all day, everyday from all the # s posted above.  They call over 40 times a day.

This is Comenity Bank, Victoria's Secret's credit card goes through them.

Yes, Comenity Bank, Lane Bryant CC also goes through them too.

I would think even people stupid enough to work in debt collections would be able to figure out when a person is avoiding calls and it is useless to keep calling. Of course unless your goal is harassment then is does make sense. I do wonder why anybody would then cooperate with a business that harasses them.  I know I sure won't and it kind of helps with the guilt I feel not being able to pay. If this collector is that abusive and mean spirited I don't feel bad stiffing them, In fact I feel kind of good about it.

I've had all numbers calling.  I know it's due to my Catherine's card (lost my job)....but...the one sketchy thing they did was change their caller I.D. label to come up as a medical facility, in which my grandfather is in the hospital fighting cancer.  I needless to say went off on them and told them I'd pay them when I got around to it.

Whoever these people are with this number are also using several other phone numbers, with different area codes that come up on caller ID as "Comenity". This is not Comenity Bank. They call several times a day using different numbers. They do not answer when you pickup. I would not suggest calling the number back, because the phone calls will increase.

They keep calling and calling won't leave message.

this number just called me at 8:19 am ....I don't owe any credit card company....I have been debt free for almost 2 years...and  I work  night shift  had just went to sleep and  these fools  called and woke me up....

I have fallen on hard time and I get that I owe a couple of creditors but COME ON!!! I won't answer any call if I don't recognize # but it's starts early morning to late night...REALLY??

STOP calling my phone!

They are probably on auto dial. A worker sits with a headset while a computer dials numbers on a list. If the recipient answers it connects to the worker for the call. If not the computer just moves on to the next number on the list.

I lost my job, now unable to pay, I feel bad.  Since they now call me everyday, every hour from 8 am to 10 pm.  I no longer feel bad about not being able to pay, and now have no interest in paying once I can.  They can bite me!!

Calls every 30 mins, never leaves a message and it starts from 8am until 8pm. It's getting very frustrating and annoying to say the least. I have no idea who they are and when I do answer I get dead air for longer than I'm going to wait.

I do too!! From all the numbers above. Strange part is I didn't get as many until I went in do not call list. They must have hacked it because now I get calls all day.

1.) They're not a third-party debt collector - they're first-party.
2.)  Ignore them long enough and they'll just file suit, get judgment, and garnish wages.
