- cgservs replies to Tiapink| 1 replyNot related to Target mess. But if you have a past due (store card) payment they will call you, to pay your bill.
- BigA replies to cgservsInteresting. People look things up because they want to know more or because they simply don't know. Yet you knew everything there is to know about this phone number but looked it up anyway. Now why would you do that?
And then on top of all that you decided to reply to posts that are just short of 2 years old. - TigressI missed one payment (just 1 payment) with one of this banks clients. They never seemed eager to help when I would call and ask a question about my account, whether it be my balance, a order I didn't receive, etc. But when I missed the one payment, they are eager to harass me relentlessly. I am not kidding~someone called my number one day every minute. There were 55 calls from these idiots within an hour. They never leave a message. When I answer~no one is there. I'm thinking~this type of stupid, asinine behavior on their part is not going to motivate me to make that payment any sooner.
- DSThey never leave a message. Called back and they have several options to hit depending on what stores you want information on! I don't have option to block on my phone, Wish they would quit calling when you don't answer. They call numerous times during the day and evening!

- Abdul-Hameed A. H.Hi to all,
Please, DO NOT answer any number your not saving, or you expect a call from a certain number like for a job interview or so. I got a call from this number and never answered. Those people don't deserve enough respect as they're even bothering old people!
Thank you . . .- Caller: 913-312-5183
- Nan replies to SherryIt is a scam. I never get a bill from them, unless I carry a $10-25 balance......then my statement doesn't come until after the due date. I bought a $24 item......my balance due to late charges is almost $100. Do NOT do business with this creditor! BEWARE!

- KateThese [***] keep calling from different numbers. I don't know who it is, they never leave a message. Reading through, people are saying its cometity bank. I always block their numbers. Once I do, they call from a different one. I never answer. It's obnoxious. But whatever, keep calling you [***]. I'll just keep not answering and blocking.
- Caller: Cometity??
- Amused replies to JennyActually, debt collectors do have to stop contacting you if you write to them. 15 USC section 1692c provides at paragraph (c):(c) Ceasing communicationIf a consumer notifies a debt collector in writing that the consumer refuses to pay a debt or that the consumer wishes the debt collector to cease further communication with the consumer, the debt collector shall not communicate further with the consumer with respect to such debt, except—
(1) to advise the consumer that the debt collector’s further efforts are being terminated;
(2) to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor may invoke specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by such debt collector or creditor; or
(3) where applicable, to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor intends to invoke a specified remedy.
If such notice from the consumer is made by mail, notification shall be complete upon receipt.
If you do this, you should send the letter by certified mail so you can prove they received it. And, taking a page from the debt collector's playbook, send a second copy by regular mail (a lot of people won't sign for certified mail). - AUDREYThis is the so called Bank for multiple companies who ask if you "want to have their credit account". They call you but never tell you the reason for the call. I had charge accounts with multiple ladies fashion catalogs and had to deal with these people at Comenity. Once I found out why they were calling and who they were calling for, I CANCELLED all the charge accounts that had anything to do with "Comenity"!!!!!!

And you guys are right, they have numerous numbers that they use with area codes from all over the world!!!..I have blocked them all but then they started calling from "unknown number" so i could no longer block them. thank you for this thread, now I know who I can report for this harrassment. I am now sure that it must be Comenity Bank.
- Caller: Comenity Bank
- UghJust started getting calls from them and the other number a few days ago. I don't have any store cards. So I'm thinking it might be a scam. Checked my credit report and I don't see any unauthorized accounts. Wondering if it could be scammers masking their phone number with comenity numbers?
