What is BCOF?  Any idea?

This is a solicitation from the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.

I answered, said hello, she said hello... phone went dead.   Why do they call people and when you answer they hang up on you? What's the point?

Just got one, didn't answer. It's a scam.

Called, but did not leave a message.  There are many entities portraying themselves as legit non-profits, but in fact are scams to swindle people of their hard earned money.  Do not give money to unknown entities, but rather give to a local charity in the form of volunteering or giving items that are needed besides in the form of currency.  Also, check out legit non-profits because some of them are scamming you by keeping most of the money for themselves than rather using the money for the purpose of the non-profit.

Two calls one morning March 3 they rang 4 times and haung up but this started a 7:30 am

Called at 11:02 a.m. and did not leave a message.    Have received a lot of calls from the 913 prefix.   Don't usually answer.

I was expecting a call so unfortunately answered this one.  The rude lady would not give me a chance to say that I wasn't interested.  So, I hung up.  Think I have heard that this is definitely a scammer, not a legit organization.

Left no message.  From reading messages, this is definitely a scam.  Kansas government needs to start cracking down on criminal enterprises, but more criminal entities is to be expected since the state has no job growth, keeps lowering revenue expectations, and does not believe in helping residents who are not wealthy.  However, the Koch Brothers, ALEC, Tea Party Legislators, and Governor Brownback are living nicely off the perks that Kansas can provide to the chosen few!

So sick of the dozens of scam callers!  Never fail to call just as I'm getting the baby to sleep!  Really makes me mad trying to get to it because it might be an important call and then it turns out to be these idiots and I am left with a wide awake crying baby! After making sure it is a scam call, I block them. But, I have over 50 number's blocked! And they still keep calling me with different numbers! It has gone way beyond annoying!

Why does the government pass laws or regulations they can't or will not enforce.  The Do Not Call list does nothing to solve the problem but does create more worthless government jobs.  All of these telemarketing scams are destroying legitimate nonprofit fund raising since most people think they are all scams.  Also I would think the telephone companies would be more proactive in stopping these scams since many customers are tired of the harassment and have their landline phone disconnected resulting in lost revenue for the telephone company, of course now the scammers figured out ways to get your mobile number.  The FTC needs to criminally prosecute those violating the law.  A civil action is a waste of time.  Legitimate telemarketers need to unite to cleanup the industry by driving the scammers out.  The telephone companies need to take action to protect their legitimate customers from being prayed on by scammers.  At this point the telephone companies are nothing more than enablers to illegal actions.  Making robo calls illegal might be a good place to start and at some point make the telephone company accountable when they become aware or should be aware of illegal activity.  If that were the case I bet you would be amazed by the screening or blocking they could provide without raising rates.

Charity, along with political and some surveys are exempt as a ROT.  BTW, the DNC pay's for its self. As for the law, you may have missed this since its a couple of years 0ld:

So if the scammers violate the DNC law they can be fined.  I bet that has them shaking in their boots.
