Forward the e-mail to your ISP's Postmaster and let him/her know this individual is using the internet to commit a crime.

Also. . . DO NOT open the attachment. Most likely a virus, but please follow Alfalfa's reply.

    Again, read Alfalfa's post.
USPS carries the responsibility to investigate certain internet crimes.

    Also, read this:
    http://news.uscourts.gov/warning-arrest-warrant-scam

"The warrant is phony. A valid warrant would not be served by fax or e-mail. It would be served in person by a U.S. Marshal or other law enforcement officer."

"Anyone receiving a fake arrest warrant should contact the FBI or the district U.S. Marshals Office. If there is any question regarding the authenticity of a warrant, contact your district clerk of court."

I received an email in my SPAM folder from the JASON SCOTT saying there was a warrant for my arrest.  He supposedly works for the Bureau of Defaulters Agency FTC.  There is no such agency.  It's truly a scam.  These people will stop at nothing short of catching someone off guard and suck the life out of them.  How do we stop all this?

You asked "what do we do," but the answer has already been posted by Slim and Alfalfa. Look back in this thread and you find the answers, and very good advice.

It can't be stopped.  The senders are scammer/extortionists in India and Pakistan.  Follow the advice already given.  Otherwise simply delete the item and do not return the calls.

You're right, it is a total scam.

If you opened the PDF file make sure you scan it & your computer for malware, virus, trojans. Arrested by email? I guess they'll send the patrol car as a .zip file.

I received the same email....knew it was a scam so I contacted my local PD filed a report then I contacted the Attorney General for Kansas since the email implied it was from them. The AG advised me to file a report with them and the FTC. There was no virus attached to my email but that doesn't mean there won't be one attached at a later date. If you get another email or haven't done anything contact the Attorney General of Kansas or you can go to www.inyourcornerkansas.org and file a report. There is nothing to be afraid of they don't even use or have your name unless you call the number, in order to stop this please do file a report that will help

So happy to be a part of this bullcrap to.  Love getting emails at work like this.  Jason Scott attorney saying once found guilty at the court house I will have to pay 13,271.15.   First they say that they are from the states attorney office but the email also says we will seek legal representation from the company attorney.   Lots of contradiction from one email.  And the copy of the warrant is a bad cut and paste job with different logos.  This screams scam!!!'
