Woke me up at 8:45 am telling me they are not looking for a donation.   Was the March of Dimes wanting me to mail out a kit names, etc to my neighbors.   Did not let her finish talking.....told her could not do it, had too many problems of my own to do such a mailing.

What do not call list?   This discussion board has none...nor does it have a clue as to what your number is.

Betty, you have to add your number yourself, This website is just informational. You can go online and search for "no call list" and you will find instructions for how to do that,

add me to the do not call list.  this number calls every day.  and no one is there....soooooo, why bother calling.  stop calling!

Caller ID says Yonkers and I had one call yesterday and two today.  I refuse to answer the phone because I know there won't be anyone there and they never leave a message.  I'm sick of this!

Lets do this slowly, this is a place to find out who is calling, not a no call list. Leaving a message here dont call me does nothing, but make you look ignorant. There are resources to end calls i repeat this is not that site.

Calls every day around the same time, the caller last Sunday was told we were NOT interested and NEVER call again and reminded them that it is Sunday.   Still each day they call.

Wow! This number has not been documented in over 3 years!

This must be an old number the MOD had to put back in service to deal with folks like me who had to block all their other numbers from ringing my phone.

Their calling is relentless and from multiple different phone numbers, so we know that their fund raising program is not concerned about annoying people.

They're pretty much begging to be blocked from ringing us. It's too bad that a legitimate charity uses bothersome marketing tactics like this.

Caller ID says "MARCH OF DIMES".  They leave no message.

I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number).  Their recorded message identifies them as the "March of Dimes".  They are sorry they missed me and will call again (how wonderful).  You are offered the option to press 1 for additional info.  That provides a message about what they do.  At the end of this is an option to be placed on their Do-Not-Call list (I never do this as it can make things worse).

It is interesting as Mr. Dan reports that this number has been dormant about 3 years.  I received another MOD call from
914 294 2421; this is another number that is back after a 3 year hiatus.

This is likely a hired-gun telemarketing firm for calling on behalf of MoD.  If you wish to give, please, contact MoD directly.  That way the annoying telemarketer gets no cut of your donation.

I briefly looked at the criticism section of their wikipedia page.  That alone was enough for me to consider donating to a different charity.

We were bombarded with calls and mail after making a one-time donation in honor of a family member who tragically lost a baby at 20 weeks.

Wow, you are so right.   For this entire week I have received 2 calls daily from the MOD.   I also receive duplicate mailings every month or so.  I have demanded that they remove my contact information as I will NEVER donate to them again and the number is officially  blocked.

Yet another new number from this harassing telemarketer. This must be about 12 numbers they've called from.

I would argue that a charity loses all of its "legitimate" veneer once it farms out to a commercial fundraiser with a hyperactive predictive dialer.

March of Dimes beggar calls used to be a problem for my parents. Calls for MoD and seven other charities would ring their phone several times a day, from many rotating numbers, for weeks on end. All eight charities were clients of commercial fundraiser InfoCision in Akron. In late 2011 they got a searing "shut up" letter from me. At my request they mailed their printed Do Not Call policy. Not a peep was heard from the call center or those clients since.

Commercial fundraisers are expected to honor an internal no-call list and add any number upon request. Violators are subject to stiff FTC fines. They can also be spanked for excess call abandonment and calling outside default hours.

In comments from November 2012 and June 2013 linked below, I've discussed how I banished InfoCision by politely rubbing its face in federal laws. You will note that I never rely on verbal cease-communication demands.
