Thanks heartbeat.  I had been getting MANY calls from "MOD" which I figured out.. never answered.  So they tried a new tack.  Ironic, I give them a few bucks through a neighbor who collects for them.  But that is now PAST TENSE.  Yeah, I know jobs are tough still.  But when the telemarketer get's such a big rake off it seems scammy.

This number calls 2-3 times a day and now 8:00 am on a Saturday. WTH. Stop this crap calling. I don't get a hoot who they are it's harassment and annoying and rude.

Same thing - Saturday early morning. ID said "Healthy Babies"  I have turned off my answering machine - that might be a mistake as sometimes the telemarketers let it ring dozens of times.  Guess they are sitting back waiting for an answer while they chew on a cookie.

I also have sent out solicitations to neighbors in the past. Now they are bordering on harassment, using different numbers to call. Now I beginning to think the same thing... scammy..

I have turned off my answering machine too... their machine kicks off ringing after five.

Sigh, an act of kindness repaid by constant calling.  No good deed goes unpunished...

Started out as a daily "MOD" call now it's onto the this number as "HEALTHYBABIES" . They call EARLY in the AM too, yea like I'm going to pick that up while I'm rushing the kids out the door! Ugh

March of Dimes .. annoying .. persistent - one can never be sure who is on the line.

I am not answering my phone unless I know the caller ID. I am sick of all this crap. Yesterday we got a call from debt collectors looking for $8,000 that was for a credit card from 8 yrs. ago that has been paid & closed
& shows on our credit report as paid & closed.

I'm on the do not call list. I'm reporting the number to the Attorney General.

Not the case at all.  The calls are run by an auto-dialer, and those people on the phones aren't "sitting back, chewing on a cookie."  I sat there for 8 hours a day, broken up by two half hour breaks, calling rude people such as yourself who hide behind the anonymity of the phone to be cruel and mean to someone who is just doing a job to support a disabled vet husband and two young children.  I took crap from people like you until I would cry on the way home from work because I felt so incredibly beaten up.  If anything, this job has shown me that our reputation as Americans is with merit, because we are a rude, cruel, uneducated bunch of [***].  A sad realization from someone who has served her country as well.

The Do Not Call list actually covers the sale of goods and services, and not non-profit agencies.  Educate yourselves.

Agreed.  Your type of  message has been posted hundreds of times over this board,  and no  one will even go to the FTC site and read.  All they know is what they think they have been told by someone who didn't know.  To explain the DNC  is like teaching checkers to chimps........when their minds are made up,  no one can confuse them with facts.

this number comes up as anonymous, along with 9142942500,9142942421,9142942508. for pete's sake, it's Sunday, can you give it a break and stop calling me. I'm on the Do Not Call list

Received this call, said hello twice and then they hung up.

MOD and Healthy Babies

Is anyone stupid enough to give them any money is response to their telemarketing on Sunday afternoon?   Guess there must be some, otherwise they would not be doing it.

March of Dimes (914-294-2500) called daily for weeks, and now they call (914-294-2468) daily, posing as Healthy Babies. Interestingly, their website states they support "the use of fetal tissue ... to improve the health of babies". They appear to support using tissue from aborted babies to help babies who were given the chance to be born? Interesting.
