Scam, con, high pressure sales pitch, fix your, "infected", computer, pay the IRS money you owe or be put in prison, etc. All these a$$holes should get shingles of the face, head, scalp and eyes that never goes away.

Caller ID reads Yorktown  Heights, NY ( may be spoofed caller id) Don't know anyone there. Number blocked.

Called saying they were going to help get rid of viruses on my home computer. Asked if my screen was in front of me. I said no thank you and he kept talking, "no mam this is for your viruses on your computer". I hung up. He sounded like he was from a forein country in a call center. The  caller id said it was  from somers, ny.

Virus fix are you in front of you screen. Hung up. Don't do anything unless you know the source and its a verifiable source regarding you notebook or any electronic device. Always verify the phone number with the company customer service line to see if its a legit phone number that called you. Just wish the FCC, FBI would set up a report phone numbers as they occur so they could contact the ISP and Telecom providers to remove and block immeaditly.

First call from "Our of Area" no number.... Foreign speaking man wanting to fix my computer.
Same scam, just another day.
Then, about an hour later, the call ((914-556-1278) came from a foreign speaking woman wanting to six my computer.

I told them both that they are scamming and they hug up.

They call but they don't say a word. And then they call again. And again. And they never say a word.

Just called my home phone at 507PM. I said hello three times, but they hung up. From the previous posts, it looks like the old "Kevin with Windows I fix your computer" scam.

Get a call from this number EVERY day! Quite annoying.

Scam, try to call it back says no longer in service

2 days in a row, call with no answer/dead line. Before 9am even. Very annoying.

That's a good start but they def deserve something more severe.

Answer the phone by stating that you are the local police department & they hang up right away. Do not call list does not work.

Did not answer.

Foreign Call Center - probably from India, spoofing the number.  Called and identified himself with V Tech...LLC calling in regards to my computer.  This is a scam.

these thieves never quit calling no matter what you do. it's best to never answer calls from those you do not know.  we've begun blocking entire area codes from calls like this one where we don't know anyone from this code.  it is beginning to make a difference as these shysters usually have several numbers in each different area code that they use.  if i were the king, i would have their heads for their relentless pursuit of that which does not belong to them and their preying on feeble minded seniors and other weak minded fellow citizens unwary of their despicable behavior.

Scam.  Another Con guy just wanting to play the MS processes / Extortion game. Played along to waste his time, then told him where to go.

This is a CON from INDIA, they have been calling for years saying Microsoft, you have a virus in the computer and at the end of the conversation they want money, Once they get your tel number they then become debt collectors, falsely claim to be IRS and demand money NOW.... then they call to give you a free trip - but they want your credit card to pay the tax...... THESE ARE BAD PEOPLE.
